R7 is a good bike for the city, something modern and bigger than the R3 but it's not a true successor to the R6. They made it coz of the stricter regulations in Europe. The R6 is just a dying breed of bike, it's more for purists or if you want to take it on a track. Most newer riders prefer either a 2 cylinder or a literbike, it's just not making enough sales anymore that's why they stopped producing it.

@@musadiqsayed5427the motor in the R7 is the same as in the MT-07 it's a very good motor especially if it comes to reliability. This Motor is quite old but because of that mostly all problems it had are gone. So it'll probably go much more. Sure it's a bit different from the Engine tuning itself but it's still the same engine and also the Tenere has the same in it just a bit different tuned.

I ride an R7 and love it. For me it's perfect since I live in the Netherlands where Highway speeds are capped at 100km/h until 19:00 after which it gets turned back to European standard highway speeds (130km/h). And I mostly use it for a daily work commute, so the low RPM torque is perfect. It's a little light bike with plenty power for cities and overtaking on our highways. Am about to buy a BMW F850GS for weekend touring and enjoying some cross country trips though. Did that on my R7 with a backpack on and it was awful. Sitting so aggressive and with a backpack on is just killer.

I knew you was going to talk crap about the bike as someone whom have had both r6 2012 and r7 2023 and a range of R1’s I can hand on hart say don’t listen to this bias review. Watch a range of reviews and you’ll get a genuine understanding about the r7. My guy said the CF moto was better. That was expected tbh from him Edit: not to knock him, he is a great reviewer but he only loves his bikes…..
@adobomoto5 ай бұрын
It wasn’t a review though. I also didn’t say the cfmoto was better. I said it can hold it’s own. If you’re telling me that a completely stock yamaha r7 is anything special, then you definitely have a biased opinion. It’s underwhelming to say the least. I haven’t ridden an r7 with an ecu flash and exhaust. I’ve also owner an fz07 with an ecu flash and exhaust. It was…ok, had the torque but the geometry of a harley sportster. My guy - im not gonna lie to anyone and say the COMPLETELY STOCK R7 was anything special. From an unbiased opinion, it’s nothing special.
@michaelblenman5 ай бұрын
People come to your channel literally for reviews and your opinion, I have a stock r7 and furthermore all of my bikes stay stock as I am constantly changing models / upgrading. As a congested city rider I believe the r7 has as much to offer than the r6 and I say that with my hand on hart. The bike isn’t for you and I get that but I’m 100% sure the R7 suits a range of riders out there, put some respect on its name lol…. I love your channel and have plenty of respect for the constant knowledge you bring to the biking community but I just knew you would trash talk the r7.

I'm interested to see how much more torque your R6 does in comparison to stock and maybe also compared to the R7. Just for references. Like from the feel the cbr650r also doesn't really feel alot punchier down low to my cb500f, but I love the smoothness 🌚
@azenyr5 ай бұрын
CBR650R owner here, what made me buy this bike was 2 things, sound and smoothness. Also this bike is the only bellow 1000c that can have two personalities without riding modes BS. Down in the rpms it has the "chill, quiet, smooth personality" for daily drive, rainy days and chill road trips, aswell as the "beast mode, rocket boosted engine" feel when you want to absolutely send it on the highway, at high rpms. The only bike that can do it all. And the way it screams while in this "beast mode" is just incredible. Also feels like the rpms on this bike never end. It just goes and goes. I find it so interesting that this bike can be so quiet and "chill" while having this ultra serious look that makes you know that "if you want, you can just go". It's like a well trained German Shepherd that is chill and quiet but can destroy on command. Love 4 cylinders. I hope Honda never stops making them.

@KeViNMCMXXCIX5 ай бұрын
I think due to emission restrictions etc, doing an exhaust on a R7 or MT/FZ07 and maybe even a different air filter but definitely a flash/re-tune it, makes it feel so much better. MT's are being knows for having torque but never rode one yet so can't judge, no also not sure if it's the exact same specs the R7 has. But I still doubt if it will be as quick and feel as good as your R6 seems to do. Definitely cool bikes though, and also fun you were having a meet up to ride each others bikes and found another rider to go out for a ride with.
@mikedavis5815 ай бұрын
You got the right idea, I ride a 2018 mt-07, I put on a full system exhaust, dna filter, and used the FTEcu kit to tune it myself (visited a local dyno to confirm air/fuel ratio was in optimal range), there is no more taper in power at high revs, throttle response is smoother, and overall more enjoyable to ride, felt like a whole new bike. Mind you this is dependent on rider experience and familiarity with bike, but With the experience I have riding it for 4 years now, I can keep up with much faster bikes off the line and keep up with them through technical rides (as long as it’s below the top speed of mine).
@KeViNMCMXXCIX5 ай бұрын
Oh nice! Good stuff man! Makes total sense. Also courageous to do it yourself. 😂 I can imagine learning it seems hella fun. But solid you went in and made sure the air/fuel ratio was point. I think with the 4 years you have riding on it, definitely makes a difference. With knowing your bike you van be quicker then other bikes who should have an advantage over yours spec wise. Specs don't say everything if you can't control it. A rider can make a lot of difference in this. The same with cars and circuit racing etc.
