This is a line of every dude who knows nothing about riding 🤡. Both arguably have the same skill, it's just the r6 is more forgiving since it's lighter and a slightly shorter wheelbase therefore nimbler and easier to turn compared to the R1M, and it has less power so you can yank the throttle more coming out of a corner compared to any liter bike

A liter bike is going to struggle to keep up with a lower displacement bike simply due to weight and curb weight smaller displacement bikes can enter turns at higher speed because they are lighter however in the straights the smaller cc bike will get sent to gapplebees

Newer 1ks are built for cornering and being an absolute monster anywhere not much weight difference between them anymore put a good rider on both and the r1 will show the r6 why it’s not number 1

600 vs 1000…… both piloted by a competent operator, the 600 will ALWAYS dominate the 1000 in the corners. That said a 250 will eat both in corners. There is a lot of science behind why. Weight, now at least, is not as big a factor as it once was, engine design, COG,rake and trail, it not just “R1 = 1000, R6 = 600”. The R1 is much faster than the R6………just not in corners.

If you would ride faster with a 600cc than with a 1000cc. Why don't they ride a Moto 2 bike (765cc) in the Moto GP class instead of a GP bike (990cc). Take for example the Austrian GP where the GP class has a lap time of 1:28. 6 seconds faster than a moto 2 moto. Here is simply a better rider on the 600cc.

I have both. R1 & R6 The only major difference in city n small roads. I feel a bit shakey on R6 & R1 stable due to the weight. Speed up to first few gears is the same.

The R6 is faster on roads with lots of curves because it is lighter and more agile. PS isn't everything and just stepping on the gas is NOT an art.....I have many R1, Z1000R, Fireblades etc Standing in the rain with my Cagiva Mito 125 and making it look old 😮
