I am a 75 yr young woman who, when searching for the names of God, found this series. In Galatians 3:28 Paul writes that ..........there is neither male nor female: for we are all one in Christ Jesus. So I am listening to these lessons as a simple member of His Bride, one of His servants, desiring to always do the will of Adonai, my Savior and Lord.

Oh this is the STUFF!! This is POWERFUL, beautiful and so amazing to me! Thanks for this teaching, I kind of tripped over it and fell in....and I'm SO THANKFUL. I just LOVE learning who my LORD is, and unwrapping each layer of who He is and what He has for us, when we choose to become his servants. Without comprehending the precious Names of God and how these names are used in the word, we cannot even begin to comprehend the Truth. I studied the names of God a LONG time ago. It wasn't even remotely the same--I didn't grasp the depth or importance, I don't even think I understood the reverence. It's amazing how the Lord changes things for you when you stop trying to use Him as a "self-help" technique, and seek to serve Him instead--it has taken me a LONG time to realize that..... Praise God.

Today I was in prayer at church and the pastor was praying and in prayer he said, God reveal who you are to us. Me without prior knowledge I began speaking in tongues and said Adonai. Wow, i actually read about being a bond servant in the book of Romans and i taught it to a group of believers but i had no idea it was this powerful! thanks! he is a great speaker. i have a question you might be able to help me with: do you know what is the name of the babylonian tradition to only mention their deities' names during certain ceremonies or seasons of the year? i learned that the hebrews adopted that tradition during the exhile and continued it even after they returned from babylon, and that might have played a part in why they removed the Most High's Name, and replaced it with the tetragrammaton. Can you tell me the name of that babylonian tradition?

I'm making a matrix correction gentlemen: Let the record stand in all of eternity, I misspelled "lord". It should be "Lord" in reference to Adonai and NOT "LORD". I knew Yahweh (Adamic with maybe an Adamic ego?) was somewhat of the polar entity diametrically opposed to Adonai. No?

The problem here is that some married, Christian men that are spiritually abusive take verses like these and demand total obedience from their wives, some even wanting to call them master. They want their wives to take them at their word on everything because the men say that God speaks through them to guide their wives never taking for a moment the wife's points of views, discernment, advice, etc.

God’s name is Jerusalem or Yerusalem not Jehovah. GODS says through Jeremiah 25:29 “the city that bears my name.” Jerusalem is the city. Jerusalem is my name. And Danial 9:18. “The city that bears your name.” Jerusalem is the city. Jerusalem Is your name. Two true premises that lead us to right and true Conclusion. There are no two premises in the Bible or anywhere to Conclude that God’s name is Jehovah. In peoples presentations they make a claim with YHWH. Exodus 3:15. See people have put vowels in YHWH like Yehovah and then claim that this is God’s name which is incorrect and false. What right do we have to tell God what his name is. Why would God create A New Heaven and New Earth and a New Jerusalem that came down from heaven. Revelation 21:1 Why was it not called Jehovah or Any other name they falsely CLAIM. See God’s name is Jerusalem or Yerusalem.

It appears that In the Old Testament God's People saw themselves as servants for God but in the New Testament God's People are to see themselves as servants with Christ and joint heirs to the Kingdom. Jesus said I call you Friend, only a Master called another Master a friend, otherwise He would call a slave, servant. The "Oh Lord" in Gen 15:2 is only seen in certain versions, NLT, ESV, ASV, NRSV. However in WEB, Gen15:2 Abram said, Lord Yahweh... essentially saying Adonai Yahweh. Therefore, translation seem to have different meanings. Yes, all scripture is God inspires but translated by imperfect man where differing translations can mislead even scholars. For many are Called but, few are Chosen. Thank You Lord. Should the word fear be in the New Testament. NLT 2 Tim 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. NIV 1John 4:18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. Therefore should we hold onto one transaction and reject the other. Or if you are not a member of Our church then you are a heathen. Each church used its own translation made by reputable scholars. Can be quite confusing. This has been done by the evil one to create division. There is no division in understanding when evil comes against the Believer. Thank You LORD. 👍🙏

As with Elohim, Adonai's grammatical form is usually explained as a plural of majesty. In the Hebrew Bible, it is nearly always used to refer to God (approximately 450 occurrences).

Can you clarify for me here... You say that invoking the name Adonai means that God will "endow you with special agent powers" ? This sounds very much like word of faith/ little gods doctrine to me. Just because you call Him Adonai does not mean He will give you these super powers, like you have power over God and can bend Him to your will. That's not the God of scripture. He needs nothing from us and is not here to "grant our desires" unless it is within His will. So please clarify this for me and I truly do hope this is not what you really meant here, sir.

I think it means moreso on when we learn the names of god we are opening up the door to see more of the power that he can give us, like how we see people in old testament use different names of god for different situations. god works in accordance with us and so when we willingly learn his names and then use that in our prayer language it opens up our relationship with God. just like how understanding we can call on each of the father & the son & the holy spirit in our prayers.

Depending on how you are praying (given circumstances) I can see how calling Him by a given name can feel more open and honest with Yahweh and His will.
