I'm gonna be praying for you. Don't wait, get onto that hunt now.... I waited because I had nothing but a name and no money to get the test at first. I found my half brother and my half sister, but sadly I'd learned my father had passed away the exact yr I was given his name.

An important message I got from this for anyone going through similar things…. When doing research contact older people who number is listed… they typically don’t change numbers often, a better hit of finding out answers sooner.
@anndeecosita35869 ай бұрын
I have found asking old people questions to be hit or miss. On my mom’s side everyone is willing to answer about the past but on my dad’s side they say very little and are secretive. I take what they tell me with a grain of salt as to being the whole story. Like I thought for years these two boys that my grandmother used to invite to gatherings when I was a kid were family friends. She was the type to bring other people when we traveled to family reunions so I didn’t think anything of it. I didn’t find out until decades later after my grandmother died that they were her nephews via a sister who shared the same dad. I didn’t even know my grandma had another sister. No one ever said these are your cousins even though I had plenty of other cousins I knew about and met at reunions. Glad I never had a crush on those boys. 😂

@@itscollysworld1389 once I got around 8 or 9 I did, I looked nothing like my family. & it made it worse when my parents would come to my school and kids would point it out.. my family members told me before my parents did. Thats why I’ll always advise telling them because it’ll never be something you can hide.
