Adopted At The Age Of One | No Different From A Biological Child

"I was adopted at the age of one. In terms of treatment, I think my parents fared as well as any parent to a child. They never once made me feel like I was different from anybody else.
I’ve had one too many breakdowns of hyperventilation because I was just overthinking about how unworthy I was in this family and how I do not deserve everything that I have. I really am amazed at how unconditional someone’s love can be for a stranger."

I wish I had that. My mum left me at 7 And my father remarried a woman. Ever since then I had never been shown any physical or emotional affection. Only materials. I'm turning 22 and I'm still frankly broken inside wishing I could have my family back.

Rachel, most people are not good in chemistry. It's an abstract subject. When my daughter was in middle school we talked about her strengths and weaknesses, but in college, she sort of lost her way. Now, she's in grad school following the path we talked about when she was 13. You have touched my emotions from this video, and I sensed that you're a people person. Find out what you like to do and follow that path. It doesn't have to be grandiose, but as long as you can contribute to society is what matters, and I'm sure you can. You are lucky to have loving parents and I'm sure they will support you in your choice(s). Best wishes to you.

Parents love their children just the way they are but this girl has everything to love her instantly. I have a daughter and she came in my life at the age of 10. I am sure that the struggles we faced made us getting very fast attached to eachother. She is now 23 and I love her equally with my other children but we do have a very much higher level of understanding eachother. She is much more like me in just everything than my other children. There must be a scientific reason for that what is not yet researched. Like a kind of natural surviving mechanismof an adopted child to match, whatever.

If family adopted you and loves you, its better than real blood relations who are estranged. My own family puts monetary worth above family love, that estrangements Is worse. If humans can have no separation hurt emotions , life would be nicer. You feel hurt becos u have emotions.

Perhaps as Singaporeans we are too focus on grades. A true person's worth is usually not how good the grades are. To me, it's how much you make a difference in other people's lifes. Be it in your office or people around you. Most importantly, find your own happiness and your parents will be happy. If you can't give them enough paper money when they are old, at least give them a promotion to be grand parents with their grand children. Show them that you have find your happiness. I assure you that if you do that, even on their death bed they will say you have done enough and they are happy.
