Hello! Great analysis, but I think I spotted one mistake: you are expensing the shares issues twice. First you remove them from the CFO(CFO adjusted column) and then the company has negative share growth, so they buyback more shares than they issued, so they are netting out the issued shares already. So when you are computing FCF/share you end up expensing share issued twice(in the case where the company has negative share growth)

the share comp is part of an employee's package and would have to be paid in cash if the company couldn't issues equity. I'm making a simplifying assumption.

Cameron I enjoy your analysis because I need to understand the book side of things. I feel the numbers are very important but don’t show the entire picture with regard to a companies potential. That’s where factors other than financials come into play. This is also the most difficult to discover because number are the only things published. Guess that’s why insider knowledge is so guarded. This I why I am always looking for company news both positive and negative. Is there a publication that focuses on these because most of us are the last to know.

They don’t appear to make much money, operating cash flow is negative and the constantly refer to non gasp adjusted EBITDA, net income and revenue. I’ve never seen adjusted revenue before so that’s an extra special accounting trick. Also, most of their balance sheet are personal loans, not sure how secure those are or their default rates…. Be careful here

However they have been diluting about 5% the last couple years and they just issued a $750million convertible bond. I haven’t done a deep dive regarding their loans products, I believe they work mostly with student loans refis. I am kinda on the fence to open a small position after due diligence and provided the price keeps dropping

Zero excess cash meaning cash minus debt, not zero cash in the bank that would be bonkers. You need cash to run the business. If excess cash was 0 means they have the same balance as their debt in cash and cash equivalents
