I think one of the best things that happened in the death scene was the one for one shot of Sophia and Colin's final moment together. Sophia kissed the dying Colin while Colin kissed the memory of a sleeping Sophia. The piano in the background slowly going in sync with the telemeter. It ends with a cello replacing the flatline that we expect. It signifies that Colin has now left us.

Colin wants to find the paradise where he has no regrets in his life. By the end of it, he learned that his life is perfect with all the imperfections. Paradise is right there all along. And the only regret he ever had is coming to Sigmund Corp in the first place.

Hiring Sigmund Corp was worth the price to learn that lesson just in time, I'd say.

in part of making Sofia and Asher sad, yes but even Faye admit that Neil really understands her and Colin, and help her fix Colin's last memory to erase the Sigmund Corp's presence in his life.

Well, imo FP is more, much much more realistic than TtM. TtM was, well, a tearjerker for those who are optimistic and enthusiast in this life. FP, however, affect the more experienced people. That is, those who already experience how hard this life is. As for me, I like FP better than TtM. I didn't even cry at TtM tbh, but this, well, this is a trainwreck

I had tears in my eyes throughout most of the ending but the scene at 7:30 had me bawling. It was, for me, the most emotional part of the game. The music is beautiful, it feels almost nostalgic for some reason. Like looking back on a memory from long ago, a moment you would give anything to have just one more time. And I really loved how the left side has a warmer tone because it's meant to be a little happier, while the right side has a cold tone to it because of the events taking place. Everything about that scene gets to me but it's one of my favorites.

I cried a lot when this scene appeared i honestly was didn't expecting this to happen, in the same time as colin's wife hug him, he kissed her in the bed basically saying the last goodbye.

Kan Gao really knows how to explore humans' emotional bounds! Even when life is filled with regrets, we can still find peace and beauty in our relationship with others and ourselves. Great job on both To The Moon and Finding Paradise. These two games literally expanded my understanding of visual art.

This scene mirrors the scene in To the Moon where John's memories are changed... and when I realized that this time, nothing was different, it really hit me too. Colin's life was full of so much sadness, but ultimately it was a beautiful and happy life, and that's what he realizes before he dies. It's so beautiful.

I have an ability. Once in a while, I'll vividly imagine the music from this scene playing. The parallel of the wife standing by her husband's deathbed and bidding farewell. And an old man walking up to his wife, kissing her forehead and saying goodbye. Then I'd get shivers just from thinking about it.

I think he's trying to perfect the machine to do what it already does, but with an AI, so that the doctors no longer have to enter themselves. Or perhaps, it's a solution to the Protestors from the Holiday special, in order to make it more friendly.

This is something else, possibly way out of our leagues. Faye is a mental process which gained sentience. Whatever Neil's working on, it's going to be mind-blowing at the very least.
@mordredd3 жыл бұрын
So, at the end all he wanted Faye to get his mother memories that were encrypted ;_;
@Post_Stall_Maneuver10 ай бұрын
(SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 3 AHEAD LOL) Actually on the spot. Neil copied Faye right before they cut the Memory Editor's connection to Colin. He would use her as an assistant in using his late mother's memory data she copied at some point before she died due to her giving birth to Neil causing her genetic neurological disorder to go malignant and kill her just a few years after his birth, the same condition would then be passed on to Neil (hence his medication in To the Moon and Finding Paradise). Neil entered Sigmund with the intention of accessing the Memory Editor, which would give him access to his mother's memory data. Neil would run simulations of his mother's memory data, until Faye would give his mother and father Quincy (Quincy is still alive: all data of him were based on Lynri's memories) a final perfect ending before Neil would shut down all the simulations (also sending RosaWatts shippers insane).

Me! All kinds of theories now that the Imposter Factory trailer has dropped. Main one being that we will see Faye again. Neil is dying, so he copied her data and is tweaking the machine to help him survive digitally. The first two games did really happen, but our playthroughs have all been memory simulations. At the end of Sigmund Minisode 2, we see Eva using the machine in an apartment, and a second helmet on the couch. I think Eva has been working through Neil's memories, including their cases together, to help fulfill his last wish.

@The_Girth4 жыл бұрын
He basically "saved" her personality/conscience. She became self aware and in the universe of TtM and FP its an anomaly so he had the idea to make a back up of her. Its assumed he did this to try and streamline what the doctors do for the patients considering how god Faye was at working the system.
