I wish Adria would enter the US market. US trailer decor is stuck in the 80's. Need that sleek European styling!

you mean stuck in the 70's. they have horrible decor, lack innovative features and cost twice as much.

These designs are much nicer than the US. Wish all showers were one piece units as they otherwise have to many points to leak on to the structure. Glass basins are nice if you have a maid or no children.

As a mostly solo traveler, the Adria Action is the best option for me. Its a shame though that the 391PD isn't available there. I think that's the one with the better layout because you can have a separate table and a sleeping area.
@andrewjditton6 жыл бұрын
I brought it up with Adria, but their dealers do not think it will sell in great numbers in the UK. But at least we have the option to go to France, Belgium, or the Netherlands to buy one.
@experimenteks39746 жыл бұрын
I wonder why they'd even think that. Many times when the weather isn't too kind and it would start to rain, it's nice to have an indoor table to set-up your computer on, prepare stuff etc without bothering to make up the bed. Or if you have a companion, then they can stay in bed while you have your space to still work on. Still, it's a shame to totally not bring something into the country.

Not surprised about the customer satisfaction survey results. No real problems with our Adora, just niggles. Plastic striker plates for the cupboards are a bit fragile, but I have sourced a bag of these now for about 50p each. Created my own more robust solution for the small flip up table with a length of piano hinge which gives more fixing points for screws. The press in buttons on the wardrobe doors rattled around too much for my liking, so I fitted washers to shim them out so they now have a firm action. I like the little upholstery touches and usb sockets in the latest models.

I absolutely LOVE all these caravans & I LOVE you're videos too thank you so much, I think they should do a competition every month or two so not only do they get a lot more advertising but also help people (like me 👍) a chance to own one of these beautiful caravans/home's...I say homes as I would live in it & no more rent & I would go around all Great Britain in it & have my beautiful family (specially my four beautiful grandchildren) come stay with nanna on school holidays... We can dream lol think it's time I start saving, I may even buy a cheep little caravan'et so I don't have to pay rent then it wouldn't take as long, sorry for going on & thank you again, you do a fabulous job showing them off well done lv xx

I’m glad you said Solihull near Birmingham. So many people put Solihull IN Birmingham. Not liking the first one, very basic and empty feeling., rather like an IKEA show kitchen. The Action looks okay, and the Alpina, but again very basic, most Brits wouldn’t fit in the titchy washrooms.

Still need to lose the impractical table and bench seat under the front window. Prefer a chest of drawers with a slide out table. Also, the deal breaker, a window as a headboard? Sorry, too light sensitive for that!

Some nice features but I don’t like the Truma fires in the non-Alde vans. Too intrusive into the van for me and something hot for the children to touch! Much prefer the whale blown air system tbh

The US options are big and ugly. Mostly everyone's crazy about the slides, the cabinet work seems like they were done 20 years ago and just repainted, nothing has changed in the layout, the bathroom in many of the caravans especially the old ones are just the same. Been suggesting they do something like what the Adria did with the Action. Folding sinks that are big in size thus usable. But noooo... They keep using that little bowl that has been mistaken to be a male urinal the whole time. Nothing new and interesting are being offered. If Adria starts to sell their caravans in the USA then Jayco, Forest River etc will all have heart attacks.
@P00katube6 жыл бұрын
Look at the Winnebago trailers or similar branded (save Airstream) trailers that are sold in RV dealerships. These trailers have their exterior shells look a bit to tinny (for lack of a better word) in the quality of the construction build. I have seen many a KZbin video where the cargo trailers have been converted to a sleeping/kitchen trailer with better build quality. There are even some KZbin videos where there are Do It Yourself (DYI) trailer constructions. Also look at the Happier Camper trailer on KZbin. Tiny yes, but also functional AND a great build quality.
@experimenteks39746 жыл бұрын
I've seen Winnie's offerings. I recently saw a ROV too. They are tiny but their interiors can't compare with their European counterparts. The wet baths in those things are just ugly. Most people who bought these small rigs don't even use it. I've been thinking of just going with a Casita or Escape. At least these FG offerings are better quality and will last a long, long time.

I like these caravans. How did you video and edit so many videos do quickly? Cheers Oliver
@andrewjditton6 жыл бұрын
Hi Oliver, it comes down to one word: PLANNING! Planning to be staying in the local area. Planning to have nothing else I need to do. Planning even my meals and chores so they are all done. After attending the presentation and seeing what models are available to shoot, planning which ones I am going film and how I am going to break down the video (eg this preview was done in 4 parts). Planning the intro and outro so I would only have to shoot it in one take and leave the rest to editing. Cut & pasting the intros and outros... in the intro sequence I would, say, copy the motorhome intro sequence, then 'replace' the images with those of caravans. And then... just a lot of sitting and working. No TV, no going out, just looking after myself and Dougal. I have even made sure I had been shopping for groceries so I could concentrate on delivering the videos. I hope this helps! All the best, Andrew

Hi Andrew, it’s me again......have you a contact at Adria Solihull ? We are now thinking of an Action, it looks great and we only have a small towing vehicle. We are having difficulty finding one local to view and we are in the West Midlands and really want a new one not used - hope all is good with yourself.
@andrewjditton4 жыл бұрын
Hi Adrian, I'm afraid I have no strings to pull. Your best bet is to contact Adria UK (www.adria.co.uk/) and ask. I don't think the Action is made in huge numbers so even if there is no stock left, they'll be able to let you know when more are arriving. Good luck!

Andrew Ditton thank you for the reply Andrew, found one to view in Stoke on Trent - after doing a little research we can can tow up to 1300kg with our AWD Hyundai Kona and really like the 2020 Luna Stellar, it’s more money but a lot more for it but iagain hard finding a dealer with one to view - have emailed Luna direct for there advise. Thanks again 👍

Thx for the tours Andrew. It is rare if not impossible to get an oven in smaller or mid size rvs in NA. You are given a microwave or a convection oven. I just toured a low end Class B today (but still $$$) that only had a mini microwave. I would love a proper oven even if on the smaller size. Does your market demand an oven in an rv and manufacturers comply?
@andrewjditton6 жыл бұрын
Yes, it is market driven. You rarely find an oven in, say, Spanish RVs (far more outdoor cooking), but the UK market demands it. In a similar vein, you rarely find aircon fitted - it's only a cost option in top-end models.
@experimenteks39746 жыл бұрын
Just my 2c. Those giant ACs in RVs are a bother anyway. They require you to be plugged in or consume too much power using a generator. I don't use it. Just learned to live with the heat and having a 12v fan. I came across a portable evaporative aircooler that runs on 12 volts and is perfect for caravanning in the NEC. I'm surprised I haven't come across famous caravan channels do a review or feature this product. If you're curious here's their YT link. kzbin.info/www/bejne/d2OwamOYaNKGfbM

Experiment Eks Hello from Canada 🇨🇦 Unfortunately AC is required for my medical conditions. Currently do not have it in my vintage trailer. We have been having a heat wave reaching 45 degrees C with humidex. Rv’ing totally out of the question in these temps. I could run an evaporative cooler but it would add humidity to my rig. I do use a fabulous usb fan and am testing a computer fan in the 9” ceiling vent.
@experimenteks39746 жыл бұрын
Glad you found solutions that will work for you and with your condition. Can you show me a link to that 9" computer fan. I'm curious what it looks like and how you used it, if that's okay with you. Thank you.
@mishu32716 жыл бұрын
Experiment Eks Hi...its smaller than 9”. Bought on amz.ca but also on .com. Where in the world are you? Im expt (i test products) with it set on pulling air out. Had to take the four feet off (easy) and cut a hole in bug screen to feed into trailer (darn!) and run wire across ceiling and down to 10,000 mah storage (off grid)or into usb outlet in ac outlet (hooked in). Very low draw. Honestly our weather here has been awful...not a very good test situation. Will flip it eventually to test on blowing air in.

@travelling_stephen6 жыл бұрын
Joseph Dugan. Probably because European designer's are more imaginative and forward thinking. Having said that your designer's are beginning to drag themselves from the dark age's, I've noticed some Nice design changes in the past couple of years. As they say "Rome wasn't built in a day".

The presenter is great! However Adria caravans I find are so plain and boring they just don't have the wow factor! You cannot compare one to a Coachman for example...
