The Casita layout is really good! I love the fact that this washroom layout results in the wardrobe not being next to the toilet as is often the case on end washrooms.

I do like the layout of the Casita. For a small caravan it cleverly provides three distinct areas by putting the kitchen in the corner. Loving all the food prep area too!

I love the European caravans. They're classy and stylish. I live in a caravan full time in America and they have a lot of unnecessary frills. Especially the new ones. I should buy one in the UK and import it.lol thank you for the awesome videos.

Came back for a second look and to show my partner the Casita. Those door handles are not only good looking they seem to be very practical. The recent trend of using domestic style door handles is welcome, but depending on the layout of your caravan, they do seem to be a clothes/belt hook since walkways are narrow. The fact that these new handles curve inwards towards the door seems to be a very, very ingenious design!

On the Casita, I do appreciate having somewhere larger than a postage stamp to put my razor down after shaving. Just enough room for a flat shelf (for a soft side ditty bag). I store the ditty bag after I'm done in there but, while I'm in the washroom, stuff tends to get knocked over or dropped on the floor if there isn't a place for it. So the small flat surface on the left of the bowl is a nice functional feature to me. Things like that can make a caravan livable.

It saddens me to see the resurgence of the accordion doors, which were a cheap option in the sixties,,,,cheap,,,,cheap,,,,did I mention cheap? Loving the new contoured beds, but wondering how many types of sheets are available to fit them. And am I the only one who would walk by the microwave and be startled to see someone next to me, ,,,in the middle of nowhere? I do LOVE the new color! Oh, I wish I had some of that color in my wardrobe! (Must go shopping!) You always have your finger on the pulse of nomadic living, and I thank you, kind sir, for sharing with me! Hugs to my favorite little Dougal, I always enjoy seeing his enthusiasm, the smile on his face is delightful!

I think Compass is the most attractive UK brand of them all. They have a little more class to the interior compared to Buccaneer etc. It´s a shame that they are not sold here in Sweden. However, I found one little irritating thing with the doors to the wardrobes next to the bed. The doors go all the way down so if you have something on the nightstand you need to remove it before you can open the doors. It would have ben better if they ended about 15 cm above the nightstand. I must say I think the Camino layout is the smartest on the market. If one of you want to go to bed before the other it´s more easy to accomplish "real" privacy in the bedroom so you don't disturb each other. I hope Adria will bring that layout to the Adora range and make it a little more compact so it fits on a single axle chassi. And as always, great review Andrew!

Often wondered why caravan's just have white exteriors. Unlike cars, you can't choose a colour. Anyway, great vid, I like that you don't sugar coat your first look. There are always good and bad things in every caravan..

Andrew, as a full timer in a caravan, is there a reason why there must absolutely be 2 sinks in a caravan? Yes it's nice to brush your teeth, shave, wash hands after the lavvy in the washroom but, is it an absolute must have? How much trouble is it to use the kitchen sink for that? Could a kitchen sink have a large bowl for kitchen function and a tiny side bowl for lavvy functions? Just freethought brainstorming at the moment..

I agree. For me personally, I'd like the shower to be optional. Not sure what else I'd use it for, but I never use the shower. In the caravan I mean, I do shower, of course ;-)

I was brainstorming on keeping the loo and shower but making a sink in the washroom optional because there's a sink at the kitchen. Keeping plumbing fixtures at 1 each only. Hmmmm, shallow deep thoughts 😀. There is an Adventure Motorcycle rule of thumb, everything must have at least 2 uses minimum. But could it free up space? Probably not but at least worth the brain exercise.

When I used the Airstream Nest in the US, I really missed the washroom sink to wash my hands after using the loo, and to clean my teeth even if there were a couple of mugs in the kitchen sink. So I for one do prefer the separate washroom basin, now I've had experience of both.

The only thing i didnt really enjoy about the capiro, was the venting in the "boxed section " running the sides of the bedroom. it was ugly and could get dirty after a while.

I agree!! Here in Japan, it used to be that during the summer months, going to a campsite over 1000 metres in the mountains was cool enough to not have one. Now that the summers are ever hotter, you have to go above 2000 metres and whilst Japan has plenty of mountains higher than 1200 metres also with campsites, over 2000 metres is far more challenging. Local dealers have been fitting domestic aircons which are heavy and cumbersome. The dealers here complain that European caravans' roofs are too weak to hold a motorhome/caravan aircon unit.

Saw the units with the big ACs and I found it funny because you don't need a giant AC to cool down a small space. I was thinking if the roof is their problem (doesn't seem to be that way with US caravans as they even have units you can walk on roofs) they could always use the small window ACs that is just 5000BTU or so. And fitting them in shouldn't be that much of a price difference since these things are cheap. We don't need to turn these tiny spaces into fridge boxes. The goal is just to have a cool place to sit in without it feeling like a sauna in the summer.
