It was feminist protests......they complained that a woman was all these different roles but a man...only had to be....a man.... .. what they expect for a man to be other then a man ...I'm sure they not except that nor would most women.....a .boy....nope......most other roles would likely deem as pushing toxic masculinity or abuse thought many many women desire just that from men....but are reluctant to admit it openly.......

It was all over college radio in Boston in the 80s. Boston was a great place to be in the 70s and 80s. I say the best music scene in the country but I'm a bit biased.

I have loved this since it came out but Yikes. The guitar solo instead of more synth vibes/synth solo is a typical 80s mistake unless you were Depeche Mode. . And she is lip synching? No mic in a large chuck of a verse. Sure, sound qual is good but performance disappoints.
