Did you drop a song every single week on spotify/apple music? Or just youtube/soundcloud?

Hi Adriel, I’ve seen that in recent months you got to 75,000 monthly listeners and even reached 100k…. Does this mean your meta ad campaigns have broke even and you’re now making a full time income from your streaming royalties?

I really like your sound, Adriel, but I think you're doing yourself a disservice by rushing to meet a release schedule. So many online preaching constant releases in order to gain traction and satisfy the algorithm, nearly always at the detriment of quality. IMO you're teaching yourself to become elite at finishing a track quickly, not producing something amazing that might gain you real acclaim. Wouldn't you rather have 1 smash hit that resonates worldwide, than have a modicum of followers and trickling streaming income?

You know, to an extent, I understand the sentiment a lot. I don’t think anyone should really rush some thing for the sake of hitting a Spotify algorithm. However, I totally understand Adriel, because I believe that finishing songs consistently actually helps you get better at writing music. I’ve seen so many artists in my lifetime take way too long to finish one or two songs, because they are so obsessed with perfectionism in their work. I think this can halt some people’s progress and actually hinders them from learning how to create better music. I do think releasing a song every month is insanely hard, and there’s always gonna be a few tracks that don’t hit that quality threshold, but I actually think it helps you become a better artist. Plus, for all, we know, some of the songs that Adriel writes can be songs that he’s worked on for 2 to 3 months, but just was released one month after a song he made in two weeks. Each son can also take a different amount of time to complete, so this varies a lot. I think I’m somewhere in between both of your methods. I always feel like you should always make sure you put some thing out that his quality work, and not rush anything to the point where a hinders quality. However, there is such a thing as dwelling too long on a particular project to the point where you are preventing yourself from a learning experience, and getting better at your craft.

Releasing a song every 28 days is not really that demanding to the point in which music quality suffers. If your music quality suffers releasing a song every month, you probably do not have a lot of free time to work on music (a job, kids, wife, school, etc), or you're a beginner where no matter what u do your quality is not gonna be that good, yet. I do agree with you kind of of though. I think every 28 days is definitely the upper limit of what most people can output and still keep quality.

@@ikemakesbeatsI think it also depends on the style of music. If you're rapping over a beat and that's your idea of a song, then 28 days is laughable. Similarly, if someone's not very creative, or self-critical, or just doesn't know how to level up their tracks, then sure, a month is probably all they need.

@@mrmattyd I was just about to say that. It really depends on your genre of music, if you work with other musicians, etc. Certain genres take significantly less time to create since they require less resources. It's not to say those genres are bad at all, I love pop and r&b music for example, but Jazz, Classical, or genres that sometime require multiple musicians or live instruments just take more time to make if you want good quality work.
