At the same time, Time in miraculous seams to be linear. Cat Blanc would have happened if Marinette hadn't been Prompted by Adult Bunnyx to fix the thing that would cause Cat Blanc. On top of that, I personally believe that Marinette is protecting Adrien from people who would target Adrien for the sins his father committed. not from the pain that would be caused by knowing the truth. I personally have yet to watch the London special, waiting for it to arrive on Disney Plus, but there were better options Marinette could have made. she is only human though, and humans are a flawed species. Marinette is no different. I would hope that when Adrien finds out Marinette lied about his father, that he will do the right thing and confront her about what really happened, realize that she was unable to stop Gabriel and forgive her. He reminds me of Naruto Uzumaki in that regard.

Not only the likelihood of Adrien feeling betrayed by ones closest to him is very possible (leading to a potential villain arc), If Adrien does become a villain, It would feel good to see Marinette suffer the consequences for lying. Adrian was hit with so many emotions at once, getting released from his prison, happy at the thought of going home again then wham! finds out his dysfunctional dad had died without giving him a chance to resolve their issues. And yes, I sincerely hope that Felix will be able to talk to Adrien about their origins but not for a while. Adrien needs to come to terms with his grief first. Since he's a minor, I wonder if we'll be seeing a huge family fight for his guardianship between his aunt and grandparents? Just a thought...
