Absolutely gorgeous, I'm super excited for the full release. All I'd have needed to hear was "Laura Bailey as the lead character in a musical," and that would have been enough, but Laura and Ashley and literally everyone else in this? Neeeeeeeeeeeed. But I think most of all, I'm looking forward to the details and notes of how all the songs were arranged, because making video game-style adaptive music out of musical numbers is such an insane task going by the concept alone, and the music nerd in me has to see how it was done.

No lie, with this cast list, I mostly assumed good, workmanlike singing. A good voice coach can get a lot out of just about anyone. But Laura and Mary Elizabeth rocking ranges over two octaves blew my mind. Some serious talent on display in this game (that deserves all the recognition and awards, for real!) If somone had told me "there will be a musical video game where Anthony Rapp and Felicia Day are singing in it, and are outshined" I would've thought they were nuts.

I already knew that these two were great voice actresses, but holy hell, as someone who loves theater and musicals, I’m blown away with how well their voices lend to this style! It’s beautiful! And the fact that this is a video game musical that isn’t just a rhythm game is even more of a selling point for me! I've done the first couple songs and omg, this game is amazing. Really feels like a musical and not a game, but the choices within the songs to change them just add such a cool layer..really lets you feel more invested in the story. I wasn't sure something like this would be good, but damn does it work so well. If you're a fan of musicals you will love this story.

Finished the game today and I've done it again in rush mode to see how the music parts change. If I have a few bad things to say about the gaming part, the songs are a masterpiece and are beautifully interpreted by the whole casting (even the minotaur, he's in character), that's enough for a one of a kind game.
