But in terms of literal meaning, having even the slightest fear of spiders can be categorized as arachnophobia. incorrect use of the word in this case is really just based on perception of the words connotation. Such as saying something that's inexpensive is cheap. "cheap" is usually conceptualized by bad or ineffective. while saying something is "inexpensive" usually gives the idea that the price is really low for the product you're getting. so in all, I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm not saying you're right. I'm just rejecting your idea based on the fact that phobias' or philias' contexts' are more based off personal understanding and perceived connotation.
