It’s a good idea to use Substitute, so you don’t have to heal your pokemon, and you don’t have trouble with any stat changing moves from the opposing pokemon.

Once again, Friend Safari is *NOT* 1/512. The game code clearly states that 5 PIDs are generated when you encounter a mon in here, and 7 if you have a shiny charm. This makes the odds 1/(1-(4095/4096)^5) wich is around 1/820 WITHOUT the charm, and it's 1/(1-(4095/4096)^7) or ~1/586 with it. *ONCE AND FOR ALL PLEASE*

Back when Pokemon Crystal was new I managed to get 3 shinies; not counting the given red Gyarados. I caught a shiny Geodude, a shiny Poliwag, and a shiny Magikarp (bringing me up to 2 shiny Gyarados) I was aiming for a team of six shinies before the game fell out of style. In my day, I have also managed to catch a shiny Hoothoot (but lost it when the batteries died before saving) shiny Wailmer, and shiny slowpoke.

In terms of stalling waiting for Pokemon to be called, I discovered you can just continue to "use" Adrenaline Orbs even when the effect is in place. All it will say is "it has no effect" but it does NOT take an Orb out of your bag, the number stays exactly the same so you can easily stall until you get a shiny or the pokemon dies from Struggle.

I think the rate that wild Pokémon call for help should be decreesed. There hasn't been one wild encounter that the wild Pokémon didn't call for backup. It took me forever to get a Exxecute because every time I knocked one out the other would immediately call another meaning I couldn't through a Pokeball. I like the back up feature for wild Pokémon, but it should be slightly less common.

If you manage to paralyze your target, it will no longer call for help. A chain killer if you want a shiney, but a good option if you just wanna fill your dex. Add to this an altered status pokemon will have higher catch success rate.

Rowlett, this time around. Pokemon games has changed so much since first Gen. And since Red and Blue days I've always choose Fire type starter. Damn, I hope they remake Pokemon Yellow and have a full play through to at least X and Y. Everytime you enter a new region, you get to choose one of your Pokemon to continue on with but it reverts to level 5 and you get to choose a new starter from that region.

Music1sPeace on iemulators theres an emulator called happy chick (iOS and I think android). On happy chick you can basically play gba, ds, psp, Nintendo 64, ps1, and other games (yes, on your handheld device). The only problem is that it gets revoked by Apple too often but it comes around every few weeks to a month. I recommend checking the iemulators website every now and then because they announce whether or not happy chick is back. On happy chick there's a gba game and it lets you play through multiple regions, and that's the closest I've experienced to what you're asking for. I think it's called red adventures.

There's actually a quicker way to restart the game, idk if you know this, but you can just use L R Start and Select, and it instantly restarts the game. I've got a little tip for people who want to shiny hunt. Adrive already talked about different heals you can use as a waste turn. But you can also use the adrenaline orb as a waste turn. You use it over and over if there is no second Pokemon and that way you can wait until there comes one. I haven't seen anyone use this methode before online. Maybe y'all knew this, but for the ones who didn't, your welcome!
