i dont have a brother, wish i did though. my sister is a complete kleptomaniac narcissist compulsive liar who stole things from me all throughout my childhood. she stole my xbox to give to her boyfriend, she stole over half of my clothes, she stole money from me multiple times, she even stole my 2,000 dollar macbook that I worked for months to get, and I only got it back because I had a tracker on it. My parents always believed her because she was the favorite child. She lies for no reason and makes up stories about herself to make her seem more interesting. She claimed that multiple guys in her high school r@ped her, and then once our parents went to the police, she broke down and told us that she was lying because she wanted pity because her boyfriend broke up with her. In the end, I really with I had a brother, and get help Rachael. Don’t end up in police custody for the 7th time for stealing items from retail stores! You’re 18 now, and you’ll end up in prison!

My favourite for these were the ads in the rainbow Six Vegas games (mostly the first I believe), that if I remember right would change if you were online. It was a "dynamic ad system". And when those ad servers were shutdown, recently, it screwed with the game itself. Werent able to play the game online due to that.

As someone named Brian, I would like to formally apologize to both the viewers and to Mr. Naked Jacob for my behavior during this video. Yakuza is an interesting one, because most of it is like you said and works super well - there's well known, fitting brands for stuff like alcohol, vending machine drinks, stores (Don Quijote), etc. But on the other hand, there's the less well-integrated ones that occupy entire substories/side quests. The Pizza-La delivery one in 0, for example, is not too bad and a funny quest regardless of the ad. But there's also ones like the Ikinari Steak ad side case in Judgment, where you straight up talk to the real life president of the company making a cameo appearance while he gives you propaganda on what a good boss he is (and you then tell his subordinate why he's such a good boss). A similar, though not as egregious, cameo is Tatsuya in Yakuza 5, a real life celebrity chef who shows up in every part of the game (as in, you have to go through some tutorial dialog with him on all 5 characters) which is unavoidable and part of the main story. Those last two examples definitely rub me the wrong way, while the others range from totally fine to actually enhancing the "virtual tourism" aspect of the series. Also I was waiting for the insanely immersion breaking Cup Noodles truck in FFXV to show up the whole video.

the ninja boy game is’ KAMEN NO NINJA HANAMARU’ but Hanamaru’s design is clearly based off ‘Kamen no Ninja Akakage’ or ‘Masked Ninja Red Mask’, based off a series by Mitsuteru Yokoyama, who created Giant Robo and Sally the Witch. Akakage was referenced in the Giant Robo OVA as another red masked ninja with a similar name, but as an antagonist instead of a protagonist. kinda like the noid who was the enemy in the commercials but is the hero in the game

The Yakuza series really tried to make the player invested in it's world as it puts you in a tiny window of what it's like in the nightlife of Japan From all it's minigames, how people interact, and the fact I can go to a convenience store - buy a can of 7up and just ef off and do anything else that has nothing to do with the story It does feel like you're just playing as someone going out on the town after a long day.

Very glad with the mention of how the Yakuza series handles product placement (although in the 2nd its somewhat in your face for like one cutscene because it literally puts a focus on the can of Boss coffee for a few seconds) Although since I don't really know most of the brands shown in the games, I assume it works more for the Japanese audience of the games Also as a side note they have "adult video" actresses as cameos in some of their games (notably 0, 6, and Kiwami 2) and I am ashamed to have recognized some of them

That "devs get payed more"- joke really got me. Anyway kinda surprised you didn't talk about the biggest product placement in games that has been in there for decades: Guns. How many 15 year olds know what a Glock is through video games or the Desert Eagle, like yeah Timmy isn't gonna buy an Artic Warfare Police cause he saw it in CSGO (and then get disappointed cause the gun in CS is the AWM) but he know nows that thing even exists. And it's not like this has no effect I have seen people get the gun, optic, grip, branded glove or backpack because they liked it in the videogame they played. I'm pretty sure there are twitch streamers that bought a gun cause it's cool in Tarkov. And don't get me wrong I myself am someone who will lookup what that weirdlooking shotgun you see for 5 seconds in the background of a movie is but still... food for thought.
