I just found out yesterday that X-Men 2 Clone Wars for Sega Genesis was a 6-7/10 when it came out. Bruh, that’s the best X-Men game ever made. The art looks gorgeous especially for the time, the gameplay is on point, the cast of playable characters is excellent, the powers work great, and it has a wide variety of stages and enemies. It made a bunch of “best Genesis games” and “best comic book games” lists this century, but when it came out, people were pretty brutal to it. A big complete was that it felt derivative of its predecessor. But I played X-Men 1 and X-Men 2 was better in every way. X-Men 1 on Genesis was a great game, but X-Men 2 stepped it up.

Honestly though, I hate Gamepass. Its just another move to try and force a monopoly arms race. Slack vs Teams? PSN/Steam vs Gamepass. Its the exact same thing and should not be lauded. Microsoft can continually take hits by offering "cheap" or even "free" games on gamepass Because its fucking Microsoft footing the bill just to drive Sony and nintendo out of business or force them to be acquired so that theres a little less competition in the world. This is exactly what Gig-Economy services did like Uber and Lyft offering substantially cheaper rides to destroy taxi services, then once all those taxi services died they jacked up their prices. Same thing is happening with Netflix. Netflix offers an incredibly cheap bundle of movies you might watch and it utterly destroyed the DvD market which make the lives of filmmakers 10x harder because they cant rely on individual back catalogue to try and make their moves go even, they Have to sell their movies to a streaming service now and sometimes those streaming services fuck over production companies and film makers. This is happening to game devs right now who speak out against gamepass because it makes it impossible to figure out how good their game is actually doing, and with no metrics they cant convince investors to keep giving them money to make more games. Dont fucking support gamepass if you care about developers. Just because its cool to get games on the cheap, this destroys the creative industry we know and love. Dont use convenience as an excuse to not support developers.

Dude, I'm not even a gamer, but you are so correct with this video. I bought a laptop, it comes with Windows. But I can't use ANY Office software without paying $100 A YEAR. Ridiculous. It's SO STUPID. Literally spent 10 minutes just trying to figure out how to open a Avery template to make mailing labels that was a Word document. There was absolutely no way to do it without it fucking up. I had to make an account with Avery to use their editor. W.T.F.

I always find it amazing how every update breaks Windows 10 for me little by little. Now, I can't play S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 on Game Pass because, surprise, surprise, the Xbox app is broken. _Again._ Just like the Microsoft store is broken. *_Again._* It's a vicious cycle with this company, really. I've been threatening to make a Linux distro my daily driver for years now, and I think I'm gonna start making strides toward making that happen, 'cause this is utterly _ridiculous._ What the hell do I pay these people money for?

When i was 12, i asked my grandma to buy me GTA EFLC and she did (being an absotule unit of a woman) , i played the game on a $100 office pc, i almost finished it in the full glory of 14 fps, but Games for Windows LIVE kept deleting my save games for some reason, so i lied to my grandma and told her that i finished it and it was the best present ever. Fuck you Windows, for making me lie to my sweet loving grandma, ya dicks.

I think you hit the nail on the head when you said Starfield seems like it was supposed to be more of a open world survival game. there are a lot of half-baked survival elements that “exist” in the game, but serve little to no danger/purpose to the player. The game probably would’ve been a lot better if it was just a story driven survival game rather than another copy paste RPG

My ps2 still works amazingly. So does my ps3, despite the cover part for the disc being pretty much broken. My cousins clowned on me for not getting an Xbox as kids, I had my full day in the sun when they got the red ring of death while I was vibing playing DDR and Final Fantasy. Also miss Windows 7 so much. The best days, where I used cringy anime widgets on my desktop. But that was the heyday of being able to customize things for ourselves on computers and websites. Remember Deviantart premium widgets back then? I still wonder what happened. We all loved it. And now, everything looks the same. Companies really went "no fun allowed, but give us money anyway!"

MSFS2024 launch was a disaster.

People get mad about 7/10s as if the average should inherently be 5, but I do think that’s totally understandable that really misses that there’s some serious survivorship bias going on. The only games we get to play are the ones that can get financing, keep that financing, get made, and get distributed. The barrier to entry is too high for an actually average distribution, because inevitably a ton of 1/10 to 5/10 games just straight up get killed in the cradle. It’s a lot easier for a song to get a 1/10 than a game to get a 1/10 purely because the barriers to releasing a song are lower - nobody has to commit to a years-long development process on this one single song, and that single song isn’t likely to be the only song you release for the next few years. You can have a flop song on an album because it’s not such a problem if it exists, but companies aren’t trying to waste their money on anything that won’t sell, and the more time and money they have to invest in a product to get it out the door, the stricter their standards will be.

To The point about the constant updates that never end, my windows 7 laptop that is too crap to upgrade so I have to make do with it even tho nothing supports it now, still to this day demands it needs an update for windows 7, not updating to windows 10 or something just a security update for windows 7 or whatever and it’s like, no, you don’t need an update, there is literally nothing that you could be updating to, windows 7 has been dead for years!!

As someone who has done Never Seen, Never Detected, No Kills, No Powers, max difficulty runs in all of the Dishonored series (D1, DLC’s, D2, and DotO), it’s so much more engaging and satisfying when you _know_ you *could* Bend Time, or summon a horde of rats, or just shoot the target, but instead you meticulously work your way around so that you can be a complete and total ghost.
