How to Clean Capping Station | Sawgrass SG500/SG1000

In this video I am going to show you how to clean the capping station on your Sawgrass SG500 or SG1000 Sublimation printer. Thank you. We will try this. We started noticing a spot now and then on a shirt. This cut big time into profit. Couldn't see anything on the paper and thought it might be not enough lint rolling. No matter how much we rolled, still spots. Then started seeing smears on paper. We cleaned the belt (found that info on Sawgrass site), but did not do any of this cleaning. The site didn't mention grease either. Thanks again.

I wouldn’t flush the ink out I would just put new ink in on top of the old ink. Why would you want to flush and waste sublimation ink? Did you buy bad or off brand ink?

you ever have an issue with the magenta not showing up on the test print? I am so upset my machine just needed more ink and when I put itin I get zero magenta color (no reds pinks etc) help meeeeeee

All printers should be cleaned or eventually they will stop printing right. This maintenance along with flushing the lines when needed after a few years of use will extend your printer’s life.

Good afternoon, I have a problem with a Ricoh SG 3110dn printer, it gives me the SC 57000 error, I already cleaned the transfer belt or band with alcohol, I changed the sensor that reads that band and it's still the same, what else can I do? there, I would, And I have two printers for the same reason, or could it be that due to the number of pages that the printer has, it is asking me to change that transfer belt, appreciate your collaboration, thank you

I have no Idea what the issue is. I do not own any of those printers. I would suggest contacting the manufacturer. If it is a sawgrass they will help you as long as you have sawgrass ink in them.

Hi can you tell me why the little Alert light goes on in the front panel without any error message on the lcd screen? What does it mean? I’m trying to print on a 4 x 9.5 mug paper. I have the settings as such in the print manager too for my print job but nothing happens. I’ve read the entire 139 pg manual and can’t find anything. Hi i have a promlem that its very annoying. So every morning after the night of resting , when i print on my sawgrass there is either yellow or red lines in my prints . It seems like i need to do 3 to 4 prints before it starts to print well . But i dont want to do that because its wasting my ink . And i dont want to keep doing a print head addusnebt or noslzzle clean why does this keep happening

You would need to ask the manufacturer how to solve this. Cleaning the capping station helped me. If it did not help you you should contact sawgrass. They are very helpful and I’m sure they have the answer to your question.

Is it possible this will help solve banding or pizza cut lines? I’ve watched your other videos and tried everything. The banding only seems to happen only on 11*17 prints.

Thank you for the cleaning guides. I knew about the capping station, but that is it. I have red halos around my black ink on prints and a lot of red inside. Any idea what that is? Maintenance to fix it? Haven’t found an answer and it’s been a year now.

Ive had error messages on my sg500 since I bought it. Sent it back after it broke down and they sent me a replacement, which has also broken down (error messages once again). Probably put less than 10 hours on the first one, maybe 3 hours on the new one. I am over this printer and this company :/

Hey I’ve been having issues with my printer where it doesn’t print color at all. I’ve done head cleanings, did the cleaning on this video and nothing, the nozzle check pattern doesn’t even print completely. And I’m not sure what else to do so if you could help me that would be awesome

I have a SG 500 and I am having to do a head cleaning every day because magenta is not working working right. I opened a ticket with Sawgrass and they told me to flush 5 times. It wasted all my ink😢. I have had it for a year. Will this help?

I promise you the company has way more information than me. I have never had that issue with my machine so I really don’t know. They have probably heard it all, tested it all and tried it all. Sounds to me like the line is clogged and they are trying to help you unclog it. It is unfortunate that you have to waste ink doing it but there is no other way to flush the line than to flush the line.

That is print head cleaning solution. You don’t have to use that exact one I have you can purchase any regular print head cleaning solution.

I’m not sure. I’ve never had that issue. Contact sawgrass tech support. They are very helpful. If your printer is under warrantee maybe they might send you out new parts if needed. I’m not sure.

I bought a used 1000 and it gave me the clean the print head error, but the print head doesn’t move, it jiggles in place, i can take the side panel off and move it manually but mine doesn’t have the orange caps on top like yours appears to have. I think I bought a lemon 😭

Unfortunately it sounds like it. Always get them to test out stuff like that in front of you so you know it works or just buy brand new so you can avoid potential headaches like this. I really hope you figure out how to get it to work.
