I love seeing other colorists’ coloring area. Boy, I sure do wish I could make labels like you have! I’m an organizational nut but I have just “plain” labels on all my cases. Lol.

Try tying a length of ribbon on the zipper pulls on your cases where the zips fall inside the 'spine'. I had the same issue. I got a length of ribbon in a matching color to the case and put it on with a larks head knot and then tied on some fancy beads to the ends of the rivvon. Problem solved and bling added. woot!

Hi you can fix your zipper problem, only zip it back to the edge and then take an ne. I hope you can get the jest of it... endless & thread and go up & down threw the zipper material, make a bar across the zipper to stop the zipper pull.

My bedroom is the masterbedroomm in our house, my husband has the guest bedroom which was suppose to be my art room, but my spinal disease got so bad I needed to sleep alone to sleep in an on my back starfish position which causes least pain. I have a double bed, a small armoire for my clothing instead ofa dresser to save space. Then, Two antique enclosed glass door bookcases; one large Victorian and a Medium Edwardian. Then I had to store all my pencil cases (I collect colored pencils) I don't intentionally do it, but there are certain ones I use for certain books. Budget for budget books and expensive pencils for pricier books. Unless I copy onto quality paper or print a pdf, then Ill use my better pencils. I keep my most used pencils on two craft carts that have a hard cover on top so it serves ay medication holder and coffee mug, a must!! LOL. I had my multi supply overflow I have nowhere to put them ALL under my bed, and then when I got my special mattress formy back, I had toput all supplies into boxes. So I took my supplies out of the large bookshelf i thought until I bought a supplies only armoire. Well, 5 large boxes full, and 3 months later I had had enough of no space to walk, so my husband cleaned and brought up a garage tool storage shelf that is 7 ft tall by 4 ft. I filled it. But I do Coloring, Mixed media, Watercolor, have Chinese and Japanese art paints and supplies and book references...and calligraphy, fountain pen collection with their varied inks and colours. All I can do is recline in my padded recliner which is extra padded with two blankets as the seat and back have lost most of their padding. Ahhhh.. So your room looks so nice, I have two boxes of books I had to remove from my Victorian bookshelf and one put in my part of the basement, my husband likes to tidy things but in doing so he loses my things then cannot remember where he put them. So I delegated 1/4 of the basement asmy room with all my things in it. It has my vintage doll collection in plastic down there. A lot of dolls and doll kits from when I was able to reborn dolls. Now I cannot do it. Just look at the time! I just want you to know that I have had fi ro.yalgia which had me bedridden 6 mons after a car accident 18 years ago. 13 years ago they found my spinal disease during an xray so my hobbies have been many and it took 13 years to collect all my art supplies..When you have no friends in the city you moved into 6 years ago, because you are always inside, and you dont watch tv you're alone My husband is a boat mechanic so he is gone to work at 7am doesnt come home until 8 or 9 pm. Soooo The day is Looooong trust me when all you can do is sit. Sorry I havent talked to someone in years.

I divided a box into 9 sections, put foam in the bottom and drop my pencils in there in colour families or other groups. I dont have the patience to sort them out in any other way.

Hi Karen! Nice set up! I have almost exact the same pencil cases for all my pencils, I too have the little ones that feel like a thick felt. I set my skin tone pencils separately also, I dislike very much trying to find them all again each time, lol. You have a very comfortable set up, I have to ask you...do you film a video with your phone!? I ask because it looks like such good quality! Thank you Karen. 💖💖

Hi Karen, I love the lettering on your cases. I cut labels for my cases with Cricut but mine are not sticking. What are you using for your labels and if I'd love to know what Font you're using. Beautiful ! Edit: Well, I just had to finish the video to find out about the Labels. Thank you so much!

Throughly enjoyed seeing your work space! Thank You! Where do you keep your Coloring books and how many do you have?? Lol 😉😊 I also have the vinyl pencil cases with 3 & 4 zippers. I use a large wire paper clip that is square & folded kinda like a pretzel to thread the zipper rings threw so I can open all zippers at once. I also make a card with the pencil name on it and insert it into the paper clip & wrao with clear packing tape so it doesn't fall out. This way I can see the pencil brand from the end of the case!

Thank you for showing us your work place. Love it, But I'd like to know your thoughts on the rollout wrapped casing for the colored pencils. I made some and I like them because you could just splay or display all the colored pencils with one roll out . What are your thoughts on those.

I have seen them but have not purchased any. The idea is good to have them all there displayed and ready to use, but for a set of 150 or so pencils you would have to have enough desk space to have it all rolled out. I am not sure I have that much room on my desk... they are pretty though

You have a wonderful collection of colouring pencils. Im gettin a bit jealous watching all those pencils. Im saving up to get the Faber Castell Polychromos. Do you recommend them?

They are lovely pencils, oil based, and are layering type pencils. They layer to blend with many coats of high pigment colors. Because of this I sometimes get tired and my wrist hurts on bigger projects.

Hi Karen. What Black Widow pencils are these? I've checked my art store and they have 24 set cobra and 24 set scorpion..then a 48 set of Monarch...im confused!

I have all the black widow sets, black widows, cobras, scorpions, skin tones light and dark, and Monarchs. They are stored in one case, labeled Black widow 😊
