@kittenmimi53264 жыл бұрын
Oh gosh, melt and pour soap kit... I'm sorey for your unpleasant experience with it ;-; But it's one of the best toy (?) I have growing up. There's a clear glycerin base, white soap base, colorant, glitter, molds, various fragrance oils... I also have a perfune making kit, so I could use my perfume in the soap. It's so cool making soap that changes fragrance as you use it, fluffy soap, and shaped soap suspended in a block of clear soap...

I heard you donated like, $1,000 more dollars to the Ottawa Humane Society for their outstanding vet bills. This is one of the many reasons that I not only look up to you as one of my favorite, most entertaining KZbinrs, but because on the surface, you seem to be a loud, cursing, person, but you reveal yourself to be an ambitious woman who encourages her fans to stay in school, adopt from shelters, and that the fast fashion world isn't as glamorous as it seems. Y'all, I know Cristine isn't a perfect person, but she really is a good influence to her main demographic (12 to 17 year old girls.)

"Tell me something i don't know" Your brain edits out the movement when your eyeballs move. That's why when a movie's camerawork jumps around you might feel sick, but you can move your eyes around without getting motion sickness

@@-moon-266 when you watch a home movie and someone swings the camera around quick, there's a blur until the camera stops. Our eyes should have the same effect when we look quickly from one side to the other, but it doesn't. Thats because the brain knows that would make us disoriented so it edits out the blur.

"Tell me something I don't know." Male tortoise shell cats are so rare because, to get a tortoise shell pattern, cats need 2 X chromosomes, making them female. However, on rare occasions, a male cat may get an extra X chromosome, giving it the chromosomes of XXY. This is how you get a male tortoise shell cat.

• Spicy Sockz • it has to do with the rods and cones in your eyes - We can’t actually see the whole spectrum of light, we see reflection of light/color and what’s absorbed. Dogs don’t just see black and white like is usually portrayed. They also have rods and cones in the eye set up, just fewer than the typical human. They can still see colors like blue and yellow. Dogs’ “color blindness” models the typical red/green colorblindness that is common among humans. Dogs can’t distinguish between reds and greens, so all the bright red balls we throw into the green grass look like objects in grey shades, sitting in an area of grey shades. Humans with red/green colorblindness have the same issue - basically what’s happening is that when they “See Magenta”, their brain actually doesn’t see it as “not green”, so seeing color is partially how it’s maybe absorbed/reflected from a Surface, and partially how it’s processed in your eyes, and then partially how it’s processed in your brain.

It’s because doughnuts came from a sailor or “pirate” that was in the middle of a storm and had to use his steering wheel. But, he was eating a dough nut that his mom had made. She usually put nuts or fruits in the middle hence the name doughnut. When the sailor had to set down his doughnut he placed it on his steering wheel, which poked out the center of the doughnut. Thought he usually ate them like this because the center of the doughnut was often uncooked. I have way to much time on my hands....... thank you and goodnight!

" Tell me something I don't know" Optix is a gene in butterflies that determines the color of a butterflies wings. It acts as the master control for the genes controlling color pigment product. Getting rid of it makes most butterflies shades of grey. In certain species though it reveals a natural blue that is created by the shape of the butterflies wings scales and not through pigment.

Here’s something you may not know: kids tend to watch videos recommended for them (obviously lol) but most times they watch it multiple times which can result in the video having millions of views. And most times they don’t know how to comment or just lose interest super fast. I learned this from observing my little niece, hope this helps!

Well gotta think about ages. A full grown pig can be smarter than a human child because the child is still in development. But compared to similarities, a piglet vs a child of the same age range, which one would score higher. And at what categories, because there is no one set system of intelligence.
@stutterguy92016 жыл бұрын
I feel like children's toys have gotten more and more complex, and companies just haven't been able to keep up the quality or the reliability. However, I'm not the best at gauging this as I spent the early nineties in the garden smashing up bricks with a hammer because it was the only thing my two braincells could agree on.
@rttnmlk1236 жыл бұрын
StutterGuy eh but any thing more complexity isn't a bad thing. Makes their motor and focus skills get some exercise
@wowanothercookie6 жыл бұрын
It isn't a bad thing, but it does need better design to make it work, wich a lot of companies might not spend any money on. If you want cheap toys, you can't make it super complex, because then you just get garbage.
@lydiakelly40416 жыл бұрын
Damn the smashing bricks in the garden is a mood
@stutterguy92016 жыл бұрын
I'm not saying the complexity is the issue, as I agree with you in that it helps develop skills. I'm aiming my critique at the quality of the toys that companies are manufacturing. Most companies are aiming for the highest profit possible, which means cutting costs and making things real cheap, which is something that doesn't mix well with a complex design, especially when it has to be child-safe.

Here’s something you probably didn’t know: In 1923, a jockey by the name of Frank Hayes won a race at Belmont Park, New York even though he suffered from a heart attack midway through the event and died. His body stayed in the saddle until he crossed the finish line (first, may I add), and he was crowned with the first place trophy. Must’ve been a pretty awkward awards ceremony, eh?

These kinds of toys, especially the ones about makeup and hair, have always been this terrible. 18 years ago my friend got make up for her 10th birthday. It was in containers that looked like mini paint cans, the makeup brushes looked like the paint brushes you'd use on your wall, they smelled like plastic, were glittery, and had like zero pigment. I don't know why my memory is like this, but yeah. Trendy kids toys have always been terrible.
