I feel like the faster you accept responsibility is the faster you become an adult no matter what age you are. I swear I became the most happy when I became self sufficient. There’s nothing more fulfilling then listening to your self and supporting yourself. I recently just did a video on the same topic pretty sure y’all will like it. Much love ❤️

i’m a high school senior, i was planning to go to a community college since my parents were paying but now i’m ready to go! i just applied to 3 private colleges, all with tuition at least 20k a year. i should be able to get a good amount of financial aid and 2 of the schools have offered me half of tuition just for applying! i’ve opened a savings account so i can get my car paid off and have some start up money so i don’t have debt after college.

All of this is a drop in the bucket if you are taking out massive student loans. One wrong signature could affect the next 30 years of your life. So please be careful what you sign.

8 Steps to Building Wealth: At the Same Time: 1: Get a good education that leads to a good paying job. 2: Create a monthly budget in an Excel spreadsheet. Earnings should be greater than spending. 3: Start an emergency savings account. Put in $100. Add to the account each month, until you have 12 months income in savings. 4: Pay down debt, starting with the highest interest rate debt first. 5: Invest 10% of income into a retirement fund, (401k, 403b, traditional IRA, Roth IRA). 6: Save for college in a 529 account. Add to it each month. 7: Invest in a low fee mutual fund. Add to it each month. 8: Diversify assets.

@@averageamericaninvestor6944 I love the tips. I feel as if not a lot of teens understand how important it is to have multiple sources of income. Covid-19 really shook a lot of people and I believe having multiple sources of income will help you.

Habits are great to learn. When you move out you don't have somebody to tell you how to function as a human. Take care of yourself always!!
