I do use sundays to organize my week, and every 1st of month to make monthly organization. I mostly use my schedule i try to bring with me everywhere to remind me what i was supposed to do that day. If urgent tasks "appear" (life is life, you'll always have urgent tasks and sudden events you cannot control) i set them on notepads on my planner with details. Also if i don't do a certain task i have written i try to analyze why and if i really needed to do it so i just move that task or cancel it. What works most for me is having an app called "Listing it!", is very simple and for making lists. I have a "bucket of ideas" where i empty everything that i should recall doing in the future or simply ideas so i get them out of my head and always remember them. If it's something i have to do i write it on my planner, if it's a future idea i write it on the specific notebook (i have one for my business, one for art project and one for health the i check every month). It's the system i got when i was in my peak of depression and now i'm managing my own business thanks to that. In fact my friends gave me a planner for my birthday back then and i couldn't be happier, oh god, best present ever. I was super happy with my planner cause for me having a planner is like a reminder i have fun things and work to do and why i should be keep living. It might sound silly but it makes sense to me 'kai? xD Anyway this year i wanted to make some balance between work and fun/art and that's my motto for the year and thanks to your artist of life workbook i can keep track on what i really want to do and, mostly, track my routines and health/joy/productivity.

"if i don't do a certain task i have written i try to analyze why and if i really needed to do it so i just move that task or cancel it." THIS is gold. Sometimes my task is too big--I need to break it up. Sometimes it's just something I don't like to do--call people on the phone, for example.

Your comment about bullet journaling just shows how much the idea of what a bujo is has changed, and we forget what it initially was! Bullet journaling is actually meant to be super simple and really practical! I can’t believe I’m here saying this, because I genuinely only started (quite randomly) bullet journaling a week ago... But here I am! I think it’s easy to scroll through Pinterest and look with envy at beautiful, artistic spreads and believe that we want to do the same. But that’s not true, at least not for me. I realize I am much more productive and organized using a planning system where I can see what events I have coming up as well as a simple to-do lists and tasks to cross off that I can spread throughout my week. I forget less, I use my phone less, I am motivated to get things done instead of procrastinating them 5ever... Bullet journaling truly doesn’t have to be creative. It can be a really nice creative outlet, of course, however the risks I see in that for me is that it will require much more time to set it up, and I know the perfectionist in me will get frustrated that it doesn’t look pretty like other people’s bujo so I will just give up. I’d say: start with the original bujo system, test it, find what works for you and make it your own as you go!

For Bullet Journaling, I use an erasable notebook called Everlast Rocketbook + erasable pen - can be just for taking notes or notes can be uploaded to email, Google Drive, Dropbox and many other options via a smartphone camera picture. The smartphone picture can also be OCR via the Rocketbook app. This product is like a 40 page whiteboard for your notes.

One of the things that makes me happy the most is writing down my thoughts and plans in life. And achieving those one by one, though it's not the fastest pace, the feeling it gives me everytime I cross out those things I wrote down on my list whenever I have finally received or achieved them is really satisfying. Writing is also my best therapy. I can write down all the things that makes me happy and the things that make me cry. Even my secrets, lol. I love the feeling of connecting to myself. ❣️

Before my stroke, I was able to manage my time like a boss. Now, not so much! Brain-dumping is fantastic advice, but I would advise notating exactly when and getting disciplined about where you make your notes. If you're like me, grabbing spare bits of paper from anywhere and everywhere, then you just have paper clutter to sort ha ha! So, keeping notes electronically is top shelf (yet to find a good App for this), as is "economy of movement"; to the best life will allow, batching tasks according to their category. I'll probably revisit these, bcs I find sorting emails (and most things) so hard, but it sounds good - Eisenhower technique is familiar but also needs getting used to again. I like the idea of an Admin day and sorting day's activities out the night before. All worth another look - thanks so much ♡! Oh, also, picking one's battles is imperative!!😉

NUMBER 10 is counter-productive for me! If i spend the evening planning my next day, my brain will go to sleep while subconsciously continuing to plan, visualise and trying to deal with issues. I like to claim the title as the most unorganized person in NA and my god how this has helped me to becoming decently organized. Something as simple as brain dumping has revolutionized the way I do things now.

I personally love the reminders app on the iphone, you can set reminders at a certain time you need to do something (i.e. an appointment). Can also make to do lists and for different categories! I also love the iPhone calendar 📅 for an overview of events to quickly reference. Thirdly love the moleskin weekly planner!!

The keys of organization are: space, out, system, understand, batch, most, eisenhower, schedule, regularly, and plan. For me, the most challenging thing through my life is space. Distraction always comes. The best place to study important thing is cafe. Library used to be the good place, where I used to study in often, but it has limitation of providing comfortable and productive environment because of corona situations. Just try best to find somewhere least distracted:)

Thank you, thank you thank youu!! This video and all the tips really helped me a lot!! I was struggling and not being prepared of what to do in my everyday life. I know, I'm just a minor and yet I'm preparing to make myself productive as early as now, so that I'll make good habits in my life.. I sometimes have a bad memory when reminding myself in doing my requirements. And i sometimes procrastinate or cram hehe. And being not organize that much.. I usually use keep notes or routinery in my pc to take down my goals instead of writing them down in a paper. 😔😔

Love messages of balance. It's so important and so underrated! Couldn't get by without my bullet journal. Everything goes in there. Usually everything does start in my phone's notes app and migrates into my bullet journal, but I definitely need a regular time to devote to that migration!

The yin and yang concept was really helpful. Too much busy-ness is bad but too much relaxation can be not as great either. Also yes to writing everything down lol

I use - a bullet journal (various to-dos, habit tracking, some financial tracking, brain dumping) - Notion (my digital three-ring binder of various lists, some resources, mood boards, and project workflows) - Things (quick and recurring to-dos) - Google Calendar (appointments, events, general calendar blocking) - Google Keep (shopping lists, bookmarks of stuff I want to access/remember later)
@analorenasanchez92854 жыл бұрын
Lavendaire, bullet journaling doesn't really have to be super fancy and artsy if you feel like that's not for you. Mine is not either. The original version from Ryder Carrol is very simple. The beauty of this system is that you can customize it to your needs and personality :)
