There are plenty of foreign/indie animated films that prove this, such as Persepolis, Waking Life, Mary & Max, It's Such A Beautiful Day, Waltz with Bashir, Anomalisa, etc.

Anomalisa! What a masterpiece! Though, I wouldn't say these animated films are for kids. It's just an unfortunate truth that lots of people assume that anything animated is for kids :(

Yup - show someone Grave of the Fireflies and ask them if they'd let their kids watch it. The answer is an obvious no, it's even hard for adults to watch.

I don't love these cartoons much anymore except Gumball because at the end of the day they only lend themselves to shipping, that's how Adventure Time was ruined as well as others like Steven Universe, Miraculous Ladybug, Star vs the Forces of Evil, Amphibia, okay let's be heroes, shera and the princesses of forced inclusion, voltageron, regular show, helluva boss etc. I'm not saying it's bad but enough cringe, I'm saying we care more about a shitty ship than a plot and making a fool of ourselves in front of the public with all this in seriously people suck nowadays that even their own toxic fans are all cringe

Shipping culture is really annoying, I completely agree with you. If you haven't already watched SpongeBob (S1-S3), SW The Clone Wars, and My Life as a Teenage Robot are some of my favourites that haven't suffered a shipping fate. Though, MLAATR has suffered another pretty terrible internet fate. Overall, I would try to ignore most communities. It is kinda hard, but very worthwhile if the show has other things going for it. For me, Adventure Time's best parts are when Finn isn't simping (S5-7ish).

@@inyakee Yes, thank you friend for understanding me, I always loved some shows like the teenage robot, knd, billy and mandy, the barnyard, avatar, ben 10, generator rex, chowder among others, that shipping by force is not good, it only makes the series ridiculous like that like us in front of the entire internet whether on tumblr, deviantart or youtube who knows that topic already bores me and bothers me and it doesn't give me a good lesson it just leaves everyone in other people's shame don't you think

@@inyakee The truth is that I no longer want to be part of something toxic, cringy and something that will let me make a fool of myself in front of the entire internet again I just want to have my series of spins like kick buttowski, slugterra, randy cunnigham total ninja, the looney tunes show among others, since this already makes me tired and bored, I say we should support series that innovate in something or those that make people ridiculous and cringe, I say I don't know how these things work in the world of cartoons.
