This is the third version of Jerry and Beth we know of from the start. The universes with their infinite possibilities are meaningless except for the personal connections we have.

You know, when you put the never clips of Bird Person next to his old appearances it seems like BP actually has a great deal of respect for Rick's journey and abilities, all despite rejecting the idea of them being adventuring partners. Not only that, he also asks Morty, Rick's adventuring partner, how often would he think about it and regret abandoning Rick? It makes me think that BP have since considered Rick's offer at Blood Ridge many times and wondered if he should actually have accepted it.
