It's interesting I read an article by Adv Ngcukaitobi speaking about the ways in which land expropriation can be achieved within the current provisions of the Constitution. Adv D. Ntsebeza wrote an article criticising Adv Ngcukaitobi's article and now what Adv Sikhakhane have just said is a concur to what Adv Ntsebeza said that we need to amend section 25.

If we get too obsessed in always reminding those that did us wrong on how we feel about their wrong doings we will never prosper, instead we should spend our precious time in having an absolute understanding why they did us wrong, because with such an approach we automatically gain a birds eye view rather than a worm's eye view to the problem
@mthokozisilanga44975 жыл бұрын
Huddleston Zimba I guess it is not reminding them per se, but it the power and the wealth they still hold over us that reminds us that they are still oppressing us. Your argument may appear like saying to a woman who was kidnappen when she was 5 years old, groomed by her kipnapper to become a sex toy, raped and brutalised for 25 years. Been prostituted to anyone and the her capture keeping the earnings, after she made her a drug addict. When this woman laments how his captor has been let scott free, not even an apology given, when she is told to forgive and forget; you tell her that she will not heal if she keeps on reminding herself that she was once brutalized for years. Justice and fairness helps heal the wounds, unto this day, the Jewish people keep on telling their horroble past during the holocaust, they got the support of almost everyone in the world, almost the whole world supported their return to the the land of Isreal, and almost everyone turns a blind eye to their treenr of the Palestinians. So if a people like the Jewish nation, even after they got all the glory and the power, are still allowed to tell their holocaust stories; why do you think that silencing us for demanding justice and fairness is the solution? We are not reminding the victors, the oppressors, even though our statements sounds like that; but we are daily reminded by their failure to comprehend the loss we had and we have,by their maintainance of white privilage and continued monopoly of the economy; their racism and alofness on their past and present deeds. Almost everything is in favour of the white minority in this country. Remember that Justice delayed is justice denied.

I guess that our education failed us because in never touches most important things that we need to have at least a rudimentary knowledge: 1. Conflict of interest. 2. Truth 3. Justice and fairness 4. Bias. I would never hate a taxi driver for allowing a rapist, a killer or a political opponent; however, I would hate an advocate just doing the samething.

Indeed you need no 'spin doctor' to 'spin' the truth. The truth is always symmetrical - even though we are told that there are two sides to a story - both sides are always symmetrical (therefore, one side is good enough because it is exactly as good as the other).
