WITHOUT MORAL LEADERS, YOU CAN CHANGE THE CONSTITUTION TILL YOU BLUE IN THE FACE. REST OF AFRICA DOES NOT HAVE THE CONSITUTION AND LOOK AT THEM AND THEIR POVERTY. THESE KINDS OF PEOPLE NEVER WANT TO FACE THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM, WHICH IS CORRUPTION AND GREEDY LEADERS. EASTERN EUROPEANS ARE WHITE AND THEY STRUGGLING WITH POVERTY BECAUSE OF CORRUPT LEADERS. I AM TIRED OF LISTENING TO NONSENSE BEING DRIBBLED AS TO WHY COUNTRIES ARE NOT PROGRESSING.

Indeed! Black folks globally have become consumers of white status symbols such as commodified products that are highly associated with our desire to have proximity to whiteness. Thus, our inability to go inward and create for us and by us in the socioeconomic and sociopolitical spaces!

Both Monasteries and Orania segregate themselves, Orania Citizens cannot even be accused of labour misdemeanours, not against Black People anyway, simply because they employ their own or do what needs to be done themselves. Homelands cosmetically renamed TRUSTLands suck Tax funds from SARS to pay Traditional Leaders, Orania PAYS more to SARS than TrustLands do and they don't demand SA Tax Monies in exchange for votes for the ANC.

going to watch this 10 more times, and get my sister, brother, mother, farther , relatives and friends to watch this. Our people need to be conscientised and made to understand that this situation the black man /child finds themselves in in this country is not normal. i also feel the line the advocate added there when he said " the black child cannot see beyond just employment as he/she sees himself as a worker" hit me the hardest. Those who operate in the middle class believe they have risen above the struggle of the black child yet they neglect to understand that even in those offices it sits with them and will consistently affect them as the system was designed to keep a certain group in power while we settle for crumbs. Most of all our people , especially those of means should definitely take cognizance of the advocates words " you will never be free until all of us are free"

Yeah, but you misconceive the word ALL. It does not mean BLACK. Apartheid was a despicable system that deprived blacks of being treated as equals. However, 'victimhood' deprives you of BEING EQUAL; irrespective of how you are treated. APARTHEID IS DEAD, LONG LIVE APARTHEID is the cry of every person who rejects equality and freedom for ALL. 'Economic freedom' is a lie that is used by the wealthy to manipulate and control the masses. Freedom cannot be bought, it lives in the spirit of TRUTH, LOVE AND BROTHERHOOD.

The imperative for change was to redress the entrenched social inequalities enforced through apartheid and yet, except for piece meal offerings no policies have been formulated to address long existing issues facing the greater portion of society.

I am happy that more and more black leaders and great legal minds like Ntate Muzi Sikhakhani are more expressive about this. Our people need change and to be attended to economically before it is too late. Thank you Sizwe for this brilliant interview.

What are we doing at schools if we are not taught to think, and build our communities? This is by far one of the most enlightening dialogue that provokes thought and being black. Thank you Sizwe...

No one can teach you how to think. The way you think is formed by your background. Your mind is formed by gathering information from first parents, then the bigger circle of the community. No teacher can teach you how to think. I guess you mean critical thinking - that's a skill that's developed. If you don't read as a child, don't play with toys that develop your brain, then how is a teacher going to make you think? If you don't value logic and facts over emotions, then there's no critical thinking.

Thanks to Advocate for excellent input of what needs to change, lets our leaders are listening. This has also left me with a task of serious self examination, we desperately need to magnify this conversation across the RSA and broader African society.
