Advance Wars 2 Playthrough: Mission 33 (Hot Pursuit) Part 2/2

I get lucky with two MAJOR things; 1. The rocket didn't fire on Jess's Artillery bringing it down to 1HP (meaning that it was at full health) 2. The Meteor Strike landed in the clump of units. After the Meteor Strike I just abandoned this and went on a shooting-spree weakening all of his units, and only one turn after he used his Super he ALMOST HAD IT AGAIN (one turn on unrelenting indirect fire). It helped that I could afford a Neotank with Kanbei and used it to distract the last cannon's fire. It's odd, almost every time I look to a walkthrough for a mission something goes off, but that something allows me to pull a win. It happened for Sunrise in Days of Ruin, Sinking Feeling, Great Sea Battle (though that was more the AI refusing to comply and do what it did in the video, I couldn't follow yours as one of the Battle Copters would move into firing range of the infantry capturing the factory near the Black Cannon) and now this. Despite having the game for at least a decade this is the closest I've EVER come to completing the game. I aced (300/300/300) this mission BTW. I'm not looking forward to what's next. The sad thing is that when I activated Grit's super I didn't get my favorite quote of his "Now where's the fool who wants to help me with target practice." That would have been SO fitting.

One of the only upsides to being hit by Sturm's SCOP (and, by extension, anyone's) is the whole "CO meter won't charge on the defending turn" thing. It works particularly well to your advantage in this mission since you can use it to wail like mad on all of his tanks, which would otherwise fill his meter in a nanosecond. You know all of that, of course. ^^

Funny thing I found is that Sturm just targets groups at random with his Super CO Power, not by total value. I think someone had their 3 battleships hit by Sturm's Super CO power....when that person had a bunch of Neo tanks, Med Tanks and Rockets bunched up together. Also, Sturm targeted my APC and Infantry group when there was a Neotank and infantry group waiting for his Super CO power.

So final mission is coming up, that only leaves one thing: Eagle!!! Get your lazy butt up there now!!! XD
