It should be mentioned that the Edelkrone products have trouble with bigger cameras like Reds. I use an Edelkrone with Target modul too, and the jittering that is in the footage, because of the flexibel parts of the slider, make it not that useful. Don't want to blame anybody, but it is not that good as it seems. (Personal Experience)

Yes but also check your tripod because I had similar issues and was able to sure up my tripod to no longer have any bounce and I also carry a V-Mount battery

@@christopherpoterson2244 That was a problem for me at the beginning too. I bought an 4 leg quadropod for that, but the Edelkrone is not legit 100% which is sad, because when it delivers right, it gave me some of the most beautiful shots I ever made!

That was the most badass lamp I have ever seen! I can see this thing being more useful than a gimbal in a lot of situations. Honestly, sliders are beautiful. But the old camera on the skateboard is probably better lol Also Im pretty sure that the gods made that slider Edit: If I got this I could add some "flare" to the videos I do for a local business. Tip, use a little more tension than you think you would need on the board to keep the moves smooth. Also if on sticks, weigh them down with some sand bags to mitigate the shake coming from those. Should cut down on the shakes a little more for you

Been following Kadir Köymen the founder of Edelkrone since he first started making 35mm adapters in his garage called the Handy35 for consumer cameras like the Canon HV30 before the DSLR movement. He's a design genius, I love every piece of gear his company has ever designed. I would love a system like this.

There are some drawbacks you don't consider because you think the tech is so cool. For one, the slider uses a rubber belt that loops around the ends so when you're not using it, the rubber belt develops small bends that bump when you use the slider. There are a few other issues with balancing the slider in the center of a tripod as well. It's main advantage is that it's compact but if you want a good slide every time you need a conventionally designed slider that is stabilized at both ends.

I have to agree with the engineering comments you made about Edelkrone products. There are VERY few companies (with exceptions like Apple, Benro, and others) whose design/engineering demonstrate both smart and functional deigns into all of their products. Edlekrone also continually update and improve their designs: they listen to their client's comments. Their software interfaces are second to none for easy use. YES ... Edelkrone produces premium products at PREMIUM prices. They are worth the money, but sometimes freeing up a large chunk of money is not so easy. I think almost all of their products on every tech-savvy videographer's wishlists!

I just received the Edelkrone's PocketRIG2 & their FocusONE after a month of waiting. Got a killer deal at $225 for both so the wait was worth it. You budget conscious folks may want to check out their sales if the motorized stuff is out of reach. Can't wait to try it out this weekend!! In dreams though, I would have that Slider/headPLUS. This reminds me of that video you made on automatic focusing cameras becoming better than even the best of manual focusing on film sets. This really continues that video as this is a tool that really helps with nailing focus on professional sets where automatically focusing cameras are non existent. Being spoiled by automatic focus from the Sony and canon backfires when cameras like the BMPCC4K & 6K take over the industry. We are now back to manual focusing. I see this really pairing up with these cameras nicely. Well demonstrated. Like always thanks for the video

I like that it is small. Seems pretty slick. I have looked at a few sliders, but I like to be able to keep the majority of my equipment in a backpack. So the fact you can strap that to a bag and go, is a definite plus for me.
