This is why having lockers (standard on the Rubicon model) are important for scenarios like yours. On occasion, I meet jeepers or 4x4 guys who say they don't need lockers and bang, they're stuck and need to be pulled out. Without lockers, most of the power of your rear wheels was directed to the one in the air and not where you needed it which was the one contacting the ground. Glad you had cell service and stuck in a place that was gorgeous.

I never saw a video this well made. love your accent, love your voice, very clear, not cheesy. very clear explanations (much clearer than EDELKRONE one even if they are in fact already clear). WELL DONE. It should be very long to edit... that is a great inspiration for me who does video tutorials for big colorist for L'Oreal Professionnel. THANK YOU

Man!! I'm a chef and working on putting a podcast together along with cooking vids, and your video, tutorial, shots both watching the rig in motion AND showing the footage...all incredibly helpful and beautifully done. I'm a one-man show, and all this has shown me is that I need this or a jib to automate some movements. I've been struggling with that part, and your video was worth its weight in gold. Thanks a bunch! Subscribed...

Thanks for the great explanation. Which tripod are you using?
@MrRastler5 жыл бұрын
Nice video about nice gears! 👍
@Carlito_MD5 жыл бұрын
My only advice to you is trying to keep the head as light as possible. I have the exact same setup and sadly that tripod doesn't do well with the head and batteries on it. The tripod flat base tilts enough to cause the slider to tilt wen the head is at the ends of the slider. The result is a video that bows when speeding the footage or when setting the slider to a fast motion. A more solid tripod will be the next purchase this black Friday.

I've been wanting the Edelkrone slider kit but the app has not received any good feedback whatsoever. Is there anything you can say about the app? Thanks!
@Carlito_MD3 жыл бұрын
@@Raiendrops Hey Raymund, personally I don't realy have any complaints with the app. However, there is a learning curve to these products and perhaps this is where the complaints come from. I have owned pretty much all Edelkrone ecosystem products and the app is not in my list of things that annoy me. That's my experience though so take it with a grain of salt.

I also have the focus module and encountered the same issue you described of the provided Focus Rings bumping into the module when I try to use Canon photography lenses. With the slip-on focus rings, do you have to physically "pinch" them so it stops moving, and the app can identify the start and end points? Or if you leave it alone, will it eventually find the Macro and Infinity points?
@skylerburtphotos4 жыл бұрын
Yeah it doesn’t stop moving I have to stop them physically. It’s kind of silly really.
@Budgieboots4 жыл бұрын
@@skylerburtphotos Thank you for clarifying that for me. Could I also ask what Tripod you were using and how well it was working for balance with your setup?

thank u for this nice review. It's super helpful, I am also planning to buy it. But as i mentioned it's heavy, so what kind of tripod do u recommend?
@skylerburtphotos3 жыл бұрын
I recommend something with a large base plate, otherwise it does tends to flex and bend on the ends

Hey, can you use all sort of npf batteries (5000+mAh ones) or only the 2600mAh that they sell?
@jppj40674 жыл бұрын
I've been wondering can you go upside down with this setup and the motorized head? Or let's be "wild" can you go upside down with a 45° tilt axis? Great video!! Thank you!!!
@skylerburtphotos4 жыл бұрын
I would say no. I don't think the motor is strong enough, unless it was with only the camera and a lightweight lens. I also think the slider would flex and cause stability issues. For those kinds of shots I would stick with SliderOne v2 from Edelkrone as it has a solid body, or a brand that sells solid rails like ditogear.com/
