my brother passed away from rhabdomyosarcoma 7 months ago, at the age of 33. he really wanted to have his affairs in order, giving directions who should have his money and cars... I think managing this gave him some peace. He wanted to talk about death and I'm glad we managed the strength to talk about it with him. he hated hospitals with all his might and I'm very grateful he could die at home with us. On his last day, he knew. Even though extremely weak and hallucinating prior, he came to for a brief period of time and he hugged me hard and I got to say that I loved him and that is a moment I will never ever forget. I know you're with the stars now, Matko, and I hope you check on us from time to time. I love you and think about you all the time. your sister, I.

@@lisakay1006 i hope he gets better, unfortunately cancer is terrible, some people get it even at 20-30 years and even younger which is more shocking, we can only wish for a cure, for them to heal and that they are in a better place living without pain

One thing I wish I knew before being involved with my friends final care was that the hospital didn't want her to die in the hospital. At the very end we were abruptly moved to another facility for her death. They were concerned about their treatment statistics and their rating with the insurance providers. In my opinion it was abrupt and stressful for her to be transported in moved within hours of her death with the only purpose being to protect the hospitals death metrics.

My dad haves about 6 months or so from liver cancer. Kinda crazy I'm commenting about it because I thought he would die of older age but... it's just a reality we live in.

@@24FlyChy Thank you. Sorry about your mother. My father made peace with it. He said he believes in god and knows he will go to heaven. As long he believed in hope and content after death and makes me a little less sad. Stay strong!

My girlfriends mother is at her last days of cancer. Watching her suffer destroys me because i can't see what i can do to help her. There is one thing that I would like to tell her tho, that we die but our spirit lives forever. Its not something i believe in 100% but even if its a lie, i believe it would make her feel better. Why do i feel like we live forever? A lady fell to the floor on the street and a friend of mine went to help her. She grabbed him and told him things that my friend had been doing when he was all alone. Very accurate things. Something very similar happened to someone else i know too. So.... I would like to tell her...
