Happy Thanksgiving!!! Sorry if the audio was not perfect and some transition might have not worked perfectly. I wanted to capture my natural thoughts and figured it would create a more passionate touch and how much I care about sniping. I think it captured it in some areas. Next video commentary will be even better! Figured this still works well and put a lot of time into it on my Thanks Giving day. I think gives you the info you need! I hope you guys found this info on sniping super useful!

Krag-Jørgensen is my favorite sniper for sure. People says is sucks because of the low damage it takes etc. But that freaking sniper is a pure headshot magnet, and the sniper just feels right. I just think people need to use that sniper more to realise how good it actually is.

If it feels comfortable and you snag the kills. Do it, the smoke is useful for avoiding vehicles. Perhaps thinking proactively in terms of positioning could help always against tanks. The issue really is that it blocks your greatest asset, which is nailing down pathways.

I use the spot scope 95% of the time for two reasons: 1. THere is no glare on the spot scope and second for range detection. I feel better knowing the range to set up up the shot. It helps me find the problem why i dont hit, and when i hit what was the diferrence... What i would like to see in the future is a bullet drop guide for smaller steps and rifles without the zeroing specced. e.g. Krag without zeroing 50m, 100m ,150m, 200m 250m, 300m. The practice range is not sniper friendly cause of the lack of long range targets...^^ Nice vid, One shot, one kill!

I recommend always aiming above the head and taking other talents. @Jayheid985 жыл бұрын
@@Dazs I disagree. I wanna see you pop a single shot from 300+ m right away. You have a lot better chance when using the scope, as you will likely only get one chance at them. Your "it doesn't make sense to me" mantra is good for aggressive sniping, but not everyone plays that way. Battlefield is a war simulator, and cover sniping is a very real playing style. Not to mention counter sniping the enemy long range guys too. Scopes aid in that. However, both are very strongly important. Console is much harder to snipe on thus different equipment and/or playing is required.
@lwilso205 жыл бұрын
I would say spec at least the KAR for bipod long range and less bullet drop. Doesn’t make much sense to spec them all the same. Plus, for the Lee Enfield, running the 3x with a fast fire rate is the way to go because of the slow muzzle velocity, or even irons.
@Dazs5 жыл бұрын
With the Kar98 spec for the less bullet drop does not make much sense. It already is an extremely slow rifle and the left tree does help speed it up and improve this. It is my least favorite sniper in the game. I would not advise the lower bullet drop as this can be adjusted with practice and is considered a soft limitation. Soft limitation meaning it can be mitigated or overcome with skill. Unlike the rate of fire of the gun which is a hard limitation. No amount of skill is going to overcome that limitation. So spec for faster rate of fire is the way to go. For the Lee Enfield the same applies especially if you like the high magnification like I do. I would say that the faster rate of fire is a very viable option. I actually alternate between the two specs honestly depending on how I am playing that day. But I am also very aware of my performance in game and adjust slightly depending.
@lwilso205 жыл бұрын
Ascend Dazs what I’ve noticed with the KAR’s ROF increase is that it sometimes behaves like the Ghewer m95 in BF1. If you shoot as soon as the round cycles, the round just goes through your target. You have to wait about half a second before you fire. And if you’re firing at longer ranges, you have more time to line up shots decreasing the need for a higher ROF. But no, the KAR isn’t good for aggressive sniping. Not even the best for mid range. It’s best if you’re sitting back sniping people off an objective from over 150-200 meters out. I’m not sure, but I believe that the bullet drop perk actually increases muzzle velocity. It is a “low drag” round meaning it moves faster and falls slower. This would make sniping moving targets at range easier. As for the Lee, I mostly run 3x scope because of glint. I’m an aggressive counter sniper though. I take out other snipers, assault with DMR’s, stationary weapons, mobile gunners, bipoded LMG’s, etc. no glint makes me harder to see and enemies can’t tell that I’m capable of one shot kills until it’s too late. That glint immediately makes enemies either focus on you or run. I do use the 6x on two of the maps. It all comes down to personal preference. For the Lee, it’s so trash at range and against moving targets that I’d rather rock the 3x or irons and 1-2 shot with an 87 RMP fire rate.
@Dazs5 жыл бұрын
@@lwilso20 It would come down to preference for the Lee. I find a good amount of success even at long range for the Lee. But I am used to low velocity and I like the drop. The thing I do not like is the pin scope across the board for the gun. For the K98 it is possible to play aggressive with. But even for long range I do not prefer this gun. The Krag overall is much better overall feel and scope for me personally. But stat wise it would make sense to use. Now for the K98 being aggressive its what we used in the Alpha and Beta and still played aggressive with scout. The faster rate of ever even long range is something I would want. Its why I prefer the Krag.
@lwilso205 жыл бұрын
Ascend Dazs yeah I’m a Krag guy myself. People said I was nuts at first but it feels the best. Reminds me of the scout sniper in Hardline. As for low velocity, it depends on the tradeoff. If use the Lee for the high fire rate (fair trade). The KAR I actually like in certain situations. There’s also this glitch with the 3x on it where the bar gets really thin when you scope on an enemy. Can’t be intentional, but it makes hitting at distance with the 3x much easier. Good video though. I think you were the first guy I saw actually give the Krag it’s true place at the top.

Is the bullet drop upgrade worth trying? I'm assuming just memorizing the standard drop is better because then you can get faster bullet cycling which you obviously can only get that benefit through the upgrade. I'm thinking muscle memory will eventually make the bullet drop upgrade less viable.
@Dazs6 жыл бұрын
Scott Unverzagt I did a bullet drop guide where you can see it all from 150, 300, and 690 meters. It does have an impact and worth giving a go. Issue is if you go that route it’s going to make the Lee enfield and M95 a lot harder to utilize. And you saw my kit where I try to get each gun to feel as similar as possible. It definitely is worth it if it feels comfortable to you. I play very aggressive in my play style and also play long range. So I know I need the versatility. It it does not mean going the bullet drop side won’t work for someone else. This advanced guide is really my personal thought process. :)

Hey, I was thinking about the spotting scope, and the thing is, I actually used it for a long time as a practice tool. Since it tells you the exact distance that you’re aiming at, after about a week of using it, I think it helped speed up the process a lot for me to learn and remember the exact distances between the parts of the map that I most often go to and the parts of the map that I most often find myself shooting at, lol. One more thing though, and this is a question; the spotting scope doesn’t create a lens glint, right? I’ve been using it under the belief that it doesn’t...if it does, then I’m flushing my spotting scope down the toilet right now :O
@Dazs5 жыл бұрын
Hmm I have not tested the spotting scope that much to see if it does. I assume it would actually. But maybe to help it from being useless they didnt add it in. Why do you snipe like you are in a hurry and not sniping like a real recon? zeroing is useless in this game and the bipod is it useful?
@Dazs5 жыл бұрын
I play aggressively as a sniper. I play the class like an assault player with the ability to shoot long range. I have in the franchise since Battlefield Vietnam and even when back to do so on Battlefield 1942. I maintain a 4 KD with a 2.4 KPM which is well above most standard assault players and objective play is always my goal. Zero is pointless because when you snipe you need to aim above the head. I have done so in previous battlefields and maintain long range shots kill after kill without having to slow down to change the zero of the scope. This helps add a layer of consistency than if you changed the zeroing over and over. Example: if we were in a firefight and you spent an extra second trying to zero the distance vs another play who just knew the bullet drop then he would win the encounter. This also opens up the specialization for the other tree to improve your rifle further. These are what we call soft limitation and hard limitation. Soft limitations are those that can be overcome with skill. Hard limitations are those that no matter how good you are is a limitation (such as rate of fire). For the final question on the Bipod being useful. It is because it does not impact the ADS time of the sniper close range or when you are on the ground. It automatically sets up without having to do anything extra, so therefore is only a benefit on the weapon. So if you happen to be near an edge it helps so your scope is instantly steadied. It just overall nice :)

I like to play long range without being agressive in general but here in bf5 ; it's quiet impossible,maybe on Hamada or the new map panzerstorm.The game should have more than one weapon slot,to be able to select,the right setup for each map and to be tactical as well.Now i mainly play with the beast mg42 and have a kd over 6.Nice explanation :-)

Every battlefield I was a big advocate of playing the Objective. In Bf4 I used the M98B for 1,000m shots and still pushed close on the objective. Or same for BF3 where I sniped from afar but also got close in dirty. Battlefield is objective based and not being on an objective is not beneficial to the team. Each of the snipers are weaker either for close range or long range. Example: The K98 is better suited long range, but can still be used close range. While the Lee is better close range and can still nail long range shots. It is harder depending on the spectrum but not impossible.
@NihilistGhost5 жыл бұрын
For me the apogee of sniping was battlefield 4 with the Gol or JNG 90 most accurate sniper rifle,I only sniped long range headshots of over sometimes 1800 meters and even moving target which was harder but i took a lot of time and dedication on that game.I like the Kar98 but i prefer the Gewehr M95 on BF5.I'll hope the next battlefield is Modern warfare.
