It is a class that requires time and a passion to get better. Especially if you are playing the objective. I remember when I started off as a sniper and was told it was the dumbest thing to do. I now out play my friend to this day and now he plays recon! lol Again it just requires time and dedication.

How about a video on the particular mouse settings that you use in BF and why you choose/prefer them over other alternatives. Also perhaps detailing what type of mouse and what type of mouse pad and the weight of the mouse etc. You may have already released a video like this, but now that BFV is out, it may be relevant to do a refresher for people. Also what FOV and any other important decisions for tuning ones aim towards quick and consistent headshots.

Guys need help I’m new at Battlefield five great game but confusing I purchased two rifles in my armory store but I can’t find them it tells me that they’ve been delivered but don’t see them any suggestions

My aim is okay and I use the Ross mk3, but I get killed so often I get raged. I always towards a cover an use all the cover I can, but I get shot running there often. Any tips?

I feel like the recon class is outshined by assault class because half those guns get 3x sights and has no bullet drop. And I feel the maps are built in a way to force short sight lines making long range sniping impossible. As well if you are on certain maps one side has advantage because of height and cover this is the snow train station for example. Majority of the time I’m getting picked off before I can even aim my gun or I fire one shot and someone with a assault rifle shoots and kills me from 120 - 150 meters away which in my opinion makes the recon class weapons unusable because why use a bolt action when I can use burst fire at same range and at faster fire rate. I only played recon in bf3 and 4 and I’ve been able to make 300+ meter shot regularly but in this game everyone blends in with everything very easily. And the over abundance of trees / bushes makes sniping even worse. I’ve found plenty of good locations for high ground but sight line to a point is all way blocked by a perfectly designed tree or rock formations to block your view. Even on the city maps in 3 and 4 I didint have this issue of anyone can snipe me with Any weapon at damn near any range. My issue with this game is mainly with assault weapons shooting sniper ranges and maps sizes being too small , biased on one side in some cases , and lack of elevation in most maps other than a obvious tower that will get you killed easily because it’s the only high ground on map.

This is always a debate that comes with mix opinions. I had someone come to my stream actually saying the exact opposite. That sniping was skillless and is too dominate in the game. Which is weird to hear. I do prefer maps like rotterdam for sniping or devastation. I love personally aggressive recon and I feel can really dumpster on assault classes. One thing I gave as feedback compared to BF1. Do not cater to the snipe class with open maps. Gameplay can be much more dynamic once you have so much cover. You can still pin people down extremely hard as a sniper but it offers so much more thought process if there is alternative routes or areas. This of course is my own personal thoughts.

Ascend Dazs well the problem being that maps are biased to one side one has cover and high ground while the other does not. An excellent example is navik map how often does attack win on that map. Out of 10 times my team won 2 times. That is 80% loss rate on the map because the attacking team can be shot with 3x assault weapons and snipers. Now for like some of the other maps it’s completely flat with like one high ground that everyone knows snipers use. And I’ll detail my issue with recon it’s the bolt action rifles that have no place in the game. Line of sight is not long enough on most maps to get to use 300m range. The simi-auto snipers are being used like the m1 grand assault rife. And assault rifles are shooting at 150m ranges. So in a lot of cases people are using recon like assault. And medic has no place in the game at all because there weapons don’t have the damage nor range to out do both of those.

@@damonzari4775 That I would say is poor map design. Narvik on Airborne is just dreadful for attacking. I do not think the class matters in that situation if the field is just open with no where to go. Snipers do not have to be long range. They have that benefit, but the most optimal power of a sniper is pinning a location down. Think CS:GO or Overwatch. Widow Maker or an AWP can pin down a close call or location and change the game. I never approach sniper no matter the game as a long range weapon only. You have to think as an assault player and utilize positioning. On the topic of medics I 100% agree in fact have pushed for them to have more range or a DMR (SLR) rifle for longer range but take an extra bullet to kill compared to a sniper so they do not overtake the class. I can only provide feedback though of course. Back to the point on bolt actions, I have a higher KPM than most assault class players. Again, the beauty comes with accuracy and nailing that headshot. Headshots in BFV are larger and suppression is gone. So you do have time to kill them and while it is difficult when done well, people then claim sniper is too easy or too OP because the dominance it can have. Example: On twisted steel I can kill 5 people close range on the bridge and then nail 4 headshots from the bridge to the other point on breakthrough. I can essentially be impactful with two places at once. (This has happened btw) We obtain the point because 9 people have been eliminated and from two different sources make each push effectively easier and more effective. A DMR does not have that speed due to requiring more than one shot to the head for a kill. Can still be quite effective but its all mindset.

Also last point on the bad map design. Unfortunately this is a huge limitation. Think BF1 on Galicia. Open field of nothing...just awful. But you can push to a certain point and find cover. It just requires more patience and being patient no matter the context is not always fun. Where there is a will there is a way, just gotta find it.

I see in you videos that your zeroing distance is always at 60m. Do you never use the other settings (150m, 300m)? - and thanx for all the tips!

I leave my zeroing at a base of 60m always. I personally never change my zero distance as I memorize how much I need to aim above the head to get a headshot. Reasons are it is much easier to memorize the distance of just one setting. So I dont need to memorize 150m or 300m. Also the person who is wasting time or taking an extra step of zeroing I would have already killed him by the time he set things up.

Does the lower damage on the Krag really matter? It does a flat 54dmg iirc, which is enough to 1hk on headshots or 2hk on body shots - the M95 only does 60 damage at 60m.

I say it doesn't, Its why I love the Krag so much. If you can land the headshots then you are pretty much good to go. I think it matters a tad more in squad conquest where the 1v1 encounters matter even more. MAYBE. But still, land the headshots.

How the hell does the "V" key work with sniper rifles? I have yet to see what it does, but I get the notice to use it on screen.

It changes the zeroing for the sniper. If you chose the talent to zero in your scope then that is what it is utilized for. The bottom right you will see a number that is default at 60m. This is what the sniper scope is at base zero'd in for. You can adjust that number to 150m and 300m. Example is when your scope is set to 300 then a target at 300m when you zoom into the scope will be dead center of the cross hair. It is a tool utilized to help compensate for the bullet drop without aiming above the head. I recommend leaving it at 60 and just aim your cross hair above the head as it can be easier to learn in the long run.

I have not seen your gameplay, I am unsure how difficult it would be for you. But, if you practice, build a strong foundation, you should be able to snipe in any game. It will require some time and dedication though.
