3:49 “ sorry to give us that filler shit” not dude I swear to you “that filler shit” is exactly what I needed, you’re like the only in depth person that talks about things that I probably would’ve never thought or found out till later, like I started playing magik when this game came out, I wasn’t a super huge fan and started to move on to like hela or Wanda, looking back if I had the knowledge about magik in this video I would’ve stuck with her and played her more. Lowkey man if you made videos about all the roles vanguard, duelist etc. you would face so many new players to this genre (me) from suffering from the lack of knowledge. I’m also knew to these types of games, I tried OW but I didn’t enjoy it that much, I wanna actually try and learn how to be good at this game and this has been very helpful so thank you

Bro no joke I was thinking about maiming psylocke but went with Magik because I love her combos and now the best video for her is out I didn’t really learn to much because I already knew the combos but that little bit of extra info is what helps you level up and I’m here for it I’ve watched every video for Magik and not really learned anything until this one hopefully he also makes gameplay videos talking about why he is doing certain things too

When I was initially starting to play this game yesterday I wanted to find a guide showing a more in depth way of playing psylocke. Thank god your video was the first video I clicked on cuz it saved me so much time while instantly transforming the way I played from being mediocre to genuinely unstoppable. Won my first 8 games of comp in a row while being mvp everytime, eventually leading to people asking if I was smurfing. Which is hilarious cuz I literally just started playing. And it's genuinely thanks to your guide cuz before watching it I felt pretty lost as to how I was supposed optimally get her damage out. But I started to consider learning a second character just in case psylocke ever got picked before me and magik was the one I was eyeing. So imagine how happy I was when I saw you post a guide for magik right as I started to think about getting into playing her lol. I really appreciate your guides for how well you explain everything and how straight forward you are as well. I'm excited to take what you demonstrated in the video and put it into actual practice moving forward. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos

Btw for clarification it seems by "aiming to the left of your reticle" you mean positioning your target on the left of your crosshair, rather than aiming on the left of your target (in fact that would be the opposite) in case anyone got confused by that. Def seems to be a quirk of these 3rd person games that both aiming and peeking on the right side is favorable to you, based on our hero being offset left from the true center of the screen.

On the contrary, it is maybe useful on some of the combos but outside of combos you just wanna spam the auto attack because of it's bigger range and radius. Don't see these so called top 500 rank or rank 1 or what not talking about this fact. Actual pros do not use the quick melee when in battle.

Another tip I found is you actually have higher Dps animation cancelling your normal melee into the punch instead of holding left click. You obviously dont want to fight with no cooldowns but if you have to, then do this instead.

I recommend swapping ur E dash to Right click. If its on E you cant move right when setting up for the dash. Also having all 3 melee be on my mouse just feels better imo

The best thing i found out is Melee into Sub Melee is faster than only Melee. So... always do that if they're in range. I really appreciate the E Tech. I swear I miss it more times than not. It's so annoying when i know that person would have been dead if i landed it.

I have been playing Magik and had figured a decent amount of what you explained, but the rest of it was super useful and i will be for sure adding it to my gameplay with her. Her E being so hard to hit is what pisses me off the most, by the way. Even when your crosshair is correct, you don't really get to hit the person with it.

Ha my two most played characters are the ones you did a guide for ... sweet. Just a little confusing how you describe hitting the dash move. For me I was missing a lot then I found you want to aim Magik toward the enemy and not the crosshair. So for me I aim the crosshair to the right of the enemy when I go for a dash. Seems to work. I think that's what you are trying to say too? Awesome guide again.

These guides have been super helpful, but I wanted to point out that there are official character stats for damage, health, speed, etc. from the devs. If you go to the official marvel rivals site and click heroes you can find those numbers. Using that would mean you don't have to do any more thor estimations lol

Somehow I assumed he had been using that already bc that's what tipped me off to stuff like her left click having falloff, what the ranges are, the fact that her ult demon does basically the same damage, etc. Super funny that he managed to get all that just from testing it and eyeballing it haha. And I appreciate the devs putting that info out. It's not exhaustive, but I definitely find myself going back to the official site to check data all the time.
