Great stuff sleeves. I swear I used to remember you as a dman in EASHL wayyy back in the day. Crazy to see the growth of you, love it. Such a help to sooo many in the community. Btw - do you think it’s to late to make weber/zetterberg? I’ve got basically every team halfway in the sets, I’m thinking more so for a 98 eventually but I’m not sure if it’s worth it at this point or not

If you have the stuff to make them i would do it. 94s are still top end cards and if you have 2 of them you can probably trade them in for 98s later. I made zett, weber, gonchar and gaborik and they are all among my best cards.

basic goaltending: to pokecheck: right stick up. the bad: time it hit the shot top shelf. butterfly slides: right stick left or right now remember practice it! the bad: top shelf, hit the net! Start of shootout: normal goalie stance at 1st puck drop (called stand-up) Now stand-up there is a problem: between the legs (goalies hate it there because anyone can shoot it there). Spread v: try pressing x and then go right stick down, go to nhl 21 from ea vault it's the same concept as nhl 22. The bad: top shelf, hit the net! Spread v covers the bottom of the net, the goalie drops down and lies down extending the body severely lots of stretching. Now remember read your opponent. Opponents can do one handed tuck that means use one stick and slide it at any direction. the counter: butterfly slides, time it correctly! opponents love stickhandling, now remember, time that pokecheck and be that annoying, but remember, just poke it away, just make sure it's not past the goal line! Oh I'm missing something, see the blue part of the crease, if opponent touches the goalie at that blue paint, that's 2 minutes, goalie interference, to the box you go that means you would be down a player. Now remember there's always a way around it correct, now remember, life isn't prefect, even I make mistakes too so what...I can't be prefect all the time. Now remember if eki and you have bad rosters, please know your faceoff counters, learn when to stop skating (eki can hit net despite a bad roster for offense still) and please for the love of god, learn when to hard hit[most of the time] and stick check, the point is read the play if defending, please! Being an annoying dog as a power forward [i.e. learn when to stop skating] actually worked for me. That's how I won 5 of last 6 in gwc in nhl 21, but didn't make it past 1st round. but in hut champions i lost all 6 but competitlve against all 6 games, but fell short. But I'll still help you people if new to ea sports nhl because I played a ton back in the day.

Hey sleeves. People may be salty or whatever if you made a video on it. But you could make a nhl 22 how to score video tbh. Some people are new. I know you addressed the L2 cuts and waiting for far side shots. But there also is the far side forehand and backhand wraps. Your normal cross crease (which you said to sauce i caught that) and some other moves you can somewhat easily do. I mean in rivals and champs you score on whats open and off peoples mistakes. But some of your audience may play squad battles and struggle against the computer. So these easy goals could help them. Just a thought.

Hello Sleeve, thank you very much for your valuable videos. For me as a complete newbie in NHL this is very helpful. Maybe you can help me with one thing. I am currently playing with hybrid control, but would like to switch to stick control. Especially because of the backwards control (LT on XBOX) in combination with the A button where you shield the puck. With the hybrid control A is the pass key, which makes it unnecessarily complicated. However, here's what I noticed with the stick control. When I hold the X button on the hybrid control, it charges a shot, I can skate around the goal and then release. That's not possible with the stick control, because I immediately trigger the shot as soon as I flick the stick forward. What is the solution to this? Hold LB and then flick the stick?
@jake373

I also play with hybrid on Ps5 and the only way to use the half spin with X is to then use L1 to cancel the pass. It sucks but that’s the workaround

I'm still trying to get better by playing squad battles and im at the point where i can win 99% of the time on superstar. An easy way to Manuel saucing is holding the trigger to charge a regular pass and then just tapping the saucer pass button. Don’t know why not many ppl know this. I don’t know if this is somehow different in a way but I mean the aim is way more forgiving this way and it tosses a saucer pass so.. 🤷‍♂️

Super helpful tutorial! I never knew about L2+X. Gotta get the feel for it now. Something else I’m figuring out: you can roll with 3 solid scoring lines and 2 defensive lines if you manually change the lines during a whistle. I used to not bother with manual changes because it seemed like something would always go wrong. But this year EA added a few seconds before the next puck drop so you can get the lines you want on the ice. I’m hardly ever using my checking line now and my 3rd pair of defensemen average 1 or 2 shifts a period.
@darthyoda501
@darthyoda501 2 жыл бұрын
You only now started manually changing your lines?
@MrVisde
@MrVisde 2 жыл бұрын
@@darthyoda501 yeah! I’m late to the game. I feel like it’s easier this year to manually change because EA added a few buffer seconds before the next puck drop. Previous years you could just skip passed the replays and get to the faceoff, which felt too rushed for me. And I never liked changing on the fly.
@darthyoda501

This video makes me want to throw up. Let's keep teaching everyone how to make the game as unrealistic as possible, so then they'll be "good." Skating and spinning with the puck into the half-boards with no puck control reprocussion, goalies diving to make contact with players on breakways, and spinning around in the offensive zone like watching disney on ice so players rag even more than they do. Well done. Way to dilute it with actual useful information about defense and saucer passing. You say the game is so different from previous years, but all you're doing is teaching people how to make it the same. The mechanics of the game make it more difficult to defend against it becuase guys become literally uncheckable even when you're on top of them. Knowing this, you're effectively showing people how to utilize exploits in the game to be good. Great for the future of the game.
