Hi Ari!, Thanks for this very interesting interview with Gavin! I bought his book last month and i’m halfway through😉👍. There is indeed a ton of usefull information in it that i’ll take with me in my next flights! My next goal is to fly 100km in the netherlands. I hope there is a good opportunity next spring. Mij longest flight is 56km so far. You were discussing how to fly as efficiënt as possible with minimum input. I fly a phi maestro, and actually in the manual stood that If you are on glide, you can adjust your course by pushing your speed bar asymetrically. So If you want to go more right, you push the speed bar on the left side a little more. I thought this was a good one. This works pretty well! I use that now instead of the brakes. Keep up the good work!🤩👍 i really enjoy your video’s. Greetings from the netherlands!

Worth noting (In a reap what you sew manor...). Kelly Farina's book is great, but I don't hear many people saying nice things about him... and I know a lot of people who've been on courses with him...

What about a low B with a B-C bridge like the AD Vivo? Is it a gimmick or should I use it a lot? How to train safely? Any video for such guidance (using B+C on a low B)? Cheers!

I never tried the Vivo but if the B-C is similar to the one on my Volt 3(Webbing through metal rings 3:1 pull ratio) the Pressure is to high to use for fast active inputs (for me). Of course the Vivo is a safer gilder which might not need such fast reactions, but on the Volt 3 (I fly the XS at 65kg, so loaded light) its build so on the Edge when fully accelerated that I can't stop a collapse by the BC (I also don't feel it comming) so i inserted some aluminium bar in the C maillion loops (which are bigger than on any other glider I had before)

@@PhilippeLarcher yes, just checked, its more like a 1:1 ratio bridge (I have the same (but only a line not the padding) on my Susi). I wouldn't use it to work on the B as you will always deform the profile with it anyway. You can still use it for the C's by "pivoting" your hand to pull on the C's only, but it isn't Ideal as you only use the force of your hand joint. You could also experiment with a combination of the pivoting and pulling down to act on C and B, but this will require a lot of force and is probably not usefull for active piloting (but might be handy for landing accelerated by pushing the bar, then decellerate using the bridge and letting it gain speed to then get off the bar and flare (best to be practiced on snow or just don't)). On the Susi i just grab the C's above this bridge (where the brake is attached).

17:15 WHY though should paragliders be more eficient when turning? What's the theory behind it? I kinda wanna believe that but it sounds like a typical bullshit opinion.
