I personally like it to centre on 0 since with a little deadzone there you can snap to gunsight :) great vid thanks

Hi Danger, thanks for the video. I realise I'm 4 years late Haha. Just a quick question? I've set the curves so they don't start at zero so that it doesnt snap to centre, but when I play BOS in game it still snaps to centre. I've tried IL2 1946 and that doesnt snap to centre and follows the curves that I set up, so I know the trackIR profile is correct. Is there something I'm doing wrong with BOS? Is there an in game setting I need to change? Thanks.

How to make it sharp and less jittery?
@sterlingarcher49894 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I had to return this game due to judders when my head moves about. 75 FPS, but juddery movement when looking around causing nausea. Shame, I was looking forward to playing it.

Interesting. I haven't heard that from anyone.

using track ir? probably light interference - try at night in a darkened room or switch to the IR camera view to see if there is any interference

I think you have to check off exclusive

but i have question if you want to see behind yourself you would not see you monitor, how can i bypass this?
@dangerzwn85227 жыл бұрын
+LULFWAFFLES115 Luftwaffles115 The sensitivity curves should allow you to only turn you head slightly and see the screen. In other words, the screen view will move more than your head actually moves. Got it?

yea thx

So wait did you make your stalingrad preset by modifying the default or one to one? super unclear video

Don't even understand how you check your six with these curves, you turrn your head and can't see the screen anymore. I've tried your settings.
@dangerzwn85225 жыл бұрын
Well, as you can see from the other videos in my channel, I am fully capable of checking my six. Your difficulty could stem from having a smaller monitor user error, or defective eyes. This video is intended as a tutorial on how the settings work. The goal is to teach people how the settings work so that they can customize their own settings based on their individual needs and preferences. As always, you are free to create your own curves.

Very late reply, you got to increase the speed slider at the top which in the grid is the orange line. i copied the author here of the vid on his settings and ran somewhat into the same issue, then i forgot from my previous profile from when i last flew, was that the speed slider will enhance or multiply that like further, adjust it and move your head and see.

I still can't look up, it keeps hitting a dead zone.
@dangerzwn85226 жыл бұрын
+Cpt. Shmitt make sure that your sensor is high enough. If you don't have the sensor elevated high enough, it will lose track of the reflectors on your hat when you look up.

DangerZwn doesn't matter how high or low, they keeping crossing and turning red.
@dangerzwn85226 жыл бұрын
+Cpt. Shmitt I think you may need to turn the sensitivity up on the sensor so you don't need to turn your head as much. Are your curves the same as mine?

I think you have misunderstood a couple of things in this video eg at around 4:15 you tell people that you are moving your head up & down and side to side at a constant rate and the curve is making it stop in the middle but if you look at the windows on the right it shows what your real-life head is actually doing and you can see you stopping at the center each time! Perhaps unconsciously but you might confuse people. Also at 5:35 you say that starting the curve at zero means your in-cockpit view will not move when you look ahead but that is meaningless. When your actual head is centred and not moving then your in-cockpit head is also centred and not moving. Well Duh! That is what is supposed to happen. Moving that point up to 6x just means that when your actual head is centred and not moving then your in-cockpit head will move at a speed of 6 x Zero ie still Zero :-) I think you are getting confused by the fact that putting a *flat line* in the centre stops the in-cockpit head moving in that range eg if you had a flat line between -2 & +2 before the curve rises then small head movements of less than 2 degrees either way would not move the in-cockpit view. Many people do this on purpose so they can aim carefully without worrying that an accidental head twitch might move your view in the cockpit. You can see this in the setting for head-roll (I actually disable head-roll myself).

Robin, thanks for the comment. I'll keep that in mind for any future videos. However, I wasn't talking about a dead zone when your head is centered on the sights. I specifically don't use a dead zone (or flat line as you put it) because I don't like them. Stating that your head doesn't move at the center when the graph shows zero isn't inaccurate. It is essentially an infinitely small dead zone (similar to a function going to zero or infinity as it approaches a specific limit). I also stop my head at the center to illustrate the deceleration that happens in the sight zone. Stopping your head when centered on sights is a common movement. Either way, I'll be posing a part to of the track ir video so I look forward to your thoughts.

can you share your profile?
@dangerzwn85226 жыл бұрын
+SturmButcher ! Unfortunately, I can't. I have changed my profile since i am using a much larger screen now and the sensitivities depend on the trackir sensor placement and screen size. However, if you are having any issues making yours, I am open to help.

I dont get how people are so lost here. Asking stupid questions and not able to get their setuped. With normally functional brain you look at TIR profile and everything should be clear instantly without any need for tutorial. People who still dont get it even after tutorials clearly explaining everything makes me sick.
