I finally figured out how to bind and adjust the pilot cockpit snap views. You are absolutely correct. TrackIR is great, but it’s not VR. In a stress situation when you are in a dog fight and every second counts, using TrackIR to check your 6 is not ideal because it’s hard to repeat the perfect rear view each time you use track IR to look backwards. I bound backward left and backward right snap views to a hat on my notice and adjusted the view to be perfect for checking my 6. Much better than using TrackIR. Track IR is great for looking around the cockpit and outside the plane in the front 180 degrees or so.

omg the camera setting in il-2 have been driving me crazy. could you possible do a breakdown of what each camera setting does? I think that would be extremely helpful in personalizing it.

Hello, maybe you can help me. I was having the option to move the camera with the joystick hat, as i am moving with the mouse, something like a free camera. I press f9 by mistake and the camera view goes to hell. Now if i am moving the hat to the left, it goes to the left and zooms automatically, if i am in gunsight view and for example i want to look at an instrument if i am pressing down on the hat nothing happens. I don t know how to revert to the camera mode, where i am using the hat as i am using the mouse. Maybe you can help me.

This was brilliant! I am new to TRACKIR5 and I thought head views were either/or, I didn't know I could combine the keyboard and head tracker. Excellent, thank you very much. ***I wonder if they changed this in the new version, when I try the backward key it looks down into my seat and I cannot move the view***

Great video. I set up the Custom pilot view for the gunsight fine for 109's but when I do the same for the A3 I can only set the gunsight to be right at the top of the screen. Is there a way to get the A3 gunsight nearer the middle of the screen with the Custom setting?

@@ToteTorresWW I cracked it. You just need to hold the Custom View key down and then adjust the position of the view with the mouse before saving with F10

Hello. I downloaded il-2 a little while ago and I can't use the joystick. i connect the usb to the laptop but the game does not connect the joystick. the game understands as if it had no joystick. does anyone know how i can fix this?? (My joystick is a Logitech Extreme 3D pro)
