I'm noticing on temperature correction if I set it to lower by 5 degrees for example, it only goes down 1. I'm having an issue where my AC just keeps running non stop after installing this. It will never reach the temp I set and the house is freezing. I have a feeling the temp that's displayed on screen is way off.

I have the Ecobee smart thermostat with voice control that I just installed. When I look at my mobile app, the scheduling option is not in the menu. In the video you said it was easier to use the mobile app for setting the schedule, where do I find it?

Hello! You can purchase separate sensors that connect to your Ecobee via Bluetooth. You can put a sensor in each room of your house to get a more accurate average temperature reading of your household.

Hi ernie, You can turn off the built-in sensor on the physical thermostat and use only a smart sensor to for temperature readings. Why doesn’t the smart away override a custom home setting when no occupancy has been detected for over two hours. I have tested and demonstrated that “SMART HOME” will activate and call for cooling when it detects that someone is present during a scheduled “CUSTOM Away” period. However the opposite seem to not work, meaning……”SMART AWAY” will not activate to override any “CUSTOM Home” period.. I have masked the sensors to simulate “no occupancy” and waited well over two hours for the smart away to stop the cooing but it doesn’t work. Why is this.

Hello! Thanks for a great video, Looking to set the MIN temp and MAX temp like you show in the video let’s say 68 for the low end and 80 for the high end. I want to lock the user from being able to adjust outside of that range (80) but be able to increase temp or decrease temp within that range whenever. This is for a short term rental. Does that make sense? Will this equipment have that capability?

Hi Landon! Yes, you can enable an access code for certain functions on your Ecobee. To enable the access code, go to the Main Menu > Settings > Access Control > Enable Security Code > Enter your desired passcode > and then press Save and it will then give you options on where your passcode needs to be used. For example, you can apply the security code to everything except the "Temperature & Quick Changes". Additionally, you can change the temperature range by going to the Main Menu > Settings > Preferences > Heating Range. Set your range and the access will prevent anyone from changing that range. Hopefully this helps!

Hello, we just moved into a basement apartment suite with an Ecobee and even though the humidifier is set to 40% it rarely reaches that number, and also I get up in the morning and see that it has dropped as low as 28% again? Is this normal? The basement is in a brand new building with best-in-industry standards; excellent insulation. Is there a way to fix this?

So you say your humidity should be 40% but something is actually dehumidifying your enviornment to 28% humidity? The ecobee doesn't dehumidify your home. Maybe you should find out what is.

You can use a dehumidifier or humidifier to change the humidity of your room! The humidity will register on the Ecobee once it changes.

maybe get a device that either raises it or lowers it.. the ecobee only tells you what the humidity is, idiot. You can also call ALAsswipes HVAC for a service call and pay them to tell you why you can't adjust it also. your house is at 75% lmao have fun with that hotbox dump.
