@@BWSO that happened to me as well lol. I would recommend to turn it off of auto. Use heat settings in the winter and switch back to cool settings in the summer. If you have your cool settings set too low on auto, your ac will keep coming on because of the heat settings. If it gets too hot the air will keep kicking back on.

Hello I wanted to find out how to resolve the question mark within the cloud icon (your screen has the same problem). You said it will show up if you have not registered the thermostat, but I have registered, thus that is not the issue. It seems that I can't operate the temperature of the thermostat with the app on the phone. I was told maybe I need to turn it off. Any suggestions? Found out that my thermostat needs to be rebooted per the Ecobee agent. To reboot remove thermostat from the wall and put it back on. After that the issue was resolved to include the question mark within the cloud icon.

We just got the Ecobee and it's not reading the temperature of the room correctly. I shouldn't have to get up and manually turn up the heat because the room is cold. We have already programmed it. For example: we set the temperature to 71. The thermostat says it's 73 so the heat doesn't come on. I can tell it's colder than 71 so I force it to go on by bumping it to 74. The heat goes on and then the thermostat says the temp is 69, then 68, 67, 66 and then it starts rising. I don't understand!

Good video. Its sad how complicated the ecobee is. I have 2 of them in my new house and miss my old house which had a Nest which was so much easier to use and the app was better and the UI on the unit. I don't need or want half the things ecobee can do and I have no way to turn them off. Im in IT and find the system overly complicated. My wife.... forget it 100% unuseable. I moved into a home with this. Am absolutely flummoxed on how to operate it and stay frustrated with it 24/7. This video helped a bit but the settings seem counterintuitive. On older systems the fan setting means it runs all the time which wastes electricity. You say the auto setting means it runs all the time. Also on older ones when you set it to 70 the heat stays on 70. On my ecobee it moves all the time, leaving me freezing most of the time. I just can’t understand any of it.
