I think so, yes. It adds another level of depth and interest to a scenario, especially for those players who have an interest in WW2 history/tactics. It helps us understand why squads are being set up in certain positions and manoeuvred in certain directions, otherwise it sometimes feels like you are just watching bits of cardboard being pushed around to no real purpose! Have this set up on vassal now and looking forward to following the rest of the playthrough. Should be tough for the French, balance is about 75% pro German on this one.

Middle is a death trap. Rowhouses are tough. Tank on the bottom setup is good. That's open encirclement country for the AFV's...I was thinking of putting the 25LL on the bottom Q 10. to pop vehicles coming over the hill and trying to move around you. Remember...M12...you can shove that 2VP item around. FUN FUN FUN.

Yeah, Q10 is a possibility, I'm just afraid the thing would get overrun. P7 was in my mind too. I stuck it where it is to keep the German AFVs from doing a potential end run behind the French. The scenario heavily favors the Germans, so it should be interesting.

Wow, that's an amazing idea, love the scenario and setups breakdowns !! It's perfect for us beginners to understand how you see a scenario with your experience ! I finished Turn 1 today. I'm interested to hear how your playthrough goes.

@@ASLAcademy Oh that was epic :D GE turn 1 : they finish the turn unscathed, comfortably occupying the west buildings of the village (M6 to N3) with their AFVs deployed in the N4-N5-N6 street, ready to do suppressing fire on next turn. On top of that, a sniper broke the French squad in P5. Tough start for the French, and I was thinking about falling back already ! FR turn 1 : played it a bit later in the day, and decided to try and fire back at the German troops before retreating ! Then hell broke loose :D During Prep Fire, the H39 destroyed the PzIB on its first try (a sneaky LOS I didn't see during GE Turn 1), and a 2 MMC+MMG Fire Group in the village center broke 2 german squads in N3. A French sniper reduced an already broken squad, and as a revenge a German sniper broke a French squad. Trying to retaliate in DPh, the PzIIF broke its MA and the PzIIIF completely missed its shots. Remaining French troops then decided to fall back in the APh, proud of a really strong first blow ! I'm still a beginner, so my plans aren't that complicated, but I think I didn't do any mistakes with the rules ! One question though : in Defensive First Fire, I fired my PzIIIF against a squad spending 2MF like this : 1 time for the CMG (and no more because it's no MA or SW, so no IF or SF), and 2 times my 37L gun because it kept its ROF twice, so still no First Fire counter after 2 shots ! Then in Defensive Fire, I fired my gun 1 last time as Final Fire. Is that okay ? I was wondering about having a First Fire counter on my CMG and another on my MA : every weapon has its own, and firing one as First Fire doesn't prevent from firing the other one as First Fire too ? Thanks :)

Yes, weapons on AFVs can be fired separately. MGs on them can form FGs. MA can retain ROF even if the MGs are marked as fired. The only problem you can run into is if the MA has acquisition on something, you can lost that acquisition if you fire the CMG at a different target. Just need to be careful of that. @@ASLAcademy Thanks a lot !! Yes I saw that you had some technical issues sadly... Looking forward to it ! Did Turn 2 yesterday, German offensive went well and luckily I remembered the "Voluntary Rout" rule for the French so I could avoid being stuck in melee combat in the village center... But the French rally phase was successful and the H39 came down the hill to provide efficient support fire ! I still have hopes for the French, but that flamethrower is a beast !!

Small spoiler...my H39 ran out of AP10 on the first shot. 😂 Don't forget it has limited AP ammo. I did until I watched and processed the video for posting.@@InikoMonkoya

roll to hit versus the gun using the ATR's - the +2 TEM from the gunshield goes on the To Hit roll, providing a fire power 1 attack straight on the effect roll which will not cower. Also, a Critical Hit from an ATR will still eliminate the gun.

In addition to the deliberate immobilization possibility for the ATRs, they can also take out the ATG with a CH. Unlikely, but you never know!

ATR receives -2 DRM on To Kill for one hex range. Also, firing from one hex range from 2nd level of building qualifies for top armor?

Technically it's +2 to the Basic TK# at 0-1 range (Case D), but yeah the math works out the same as a -2 DRM.

check your Quality settings. Sometimes it drops down to 360p if there are connectivity issues and never resets to the higher quality setting. If you can do HD everything is very clear...
