Do you have to have access to all points on all the walls from the same point on the floor? If there are items in the way that block the line of laser sight. Can you still share all measurement if you have to move to a second or third point to get all points on all the walls in a room?

Hi I want to measure shapes on the ground do you know what the steps are for doing that? I have seen some videos that reference points have to be collected, I'm not sure can you help me out?

this seems to just measure between two points. I could not find any accuracy statements to horizontal bearings, so I don't think it can locate points in the XYZ axis'...just simply the distance between two points. The device has a tilt sensor, but not a bearing sensor that I could find(like what a transit or total station would have). I could be wrong, because if so, this tool could be very helpful. Please let me know

Firstly, I don't have one but I am tempted to buy this one. I am very attracted by the export dxf function. That said, if it will export to dxf it should be providing the xy&z. From what I understand its the drop down or folded tower that measure the horizontal. Again I don't have one but seriously considering getting this. Maybe I should try it first.

I like the video but I didn't think it was actually possible to make a video with such bad quality, as in the frame rate, my only tip is if your reviewing such an advanced tool.....make it a good quality video.

I HAVE THE D5, I KNOW IT WILL NOT SAVE THE DATA FOR CAD BUT IT WILL (I THINK) BE ABLE TO PROJECT A DISTANCE FROM A TRIPOD. SAY FROM THE GROUND PICK A POINT ON THE FRONT OF A BUILDING FOR A SIGN OR SOMETHING. THIS ONE IS AN OLDER MODEL.

I have used the Disto S910 and it's pretty useful if you compare it to similar laser measuring tools but the build quality of the tool and tripod is very disappointing. Might have been ok in 2015 but the price would have not been justified even then. Cheap materials, low resolution screen, low resolution camera, the tripod is hard to get leveled on any surface that is not flat. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone now and I wouldn't have recommend it in 2015 to anyone either.

Hi, I have a disto X3 and wanted to upgrade to the Disto S910 powered by P2P capabilities. I understand that at 1800 € (Amazon) you would not recommend it. came out in 2015, when a new model?

Don’t expect the Bluetooth to work. It does not. It has never worked for me. Think twice before buying this.
