Hi, this is a great video explaining this feature, but at 3:12, when the 3D Cad drawing is rotated, you can see the angle of the face next to the stairs seems to be way out (floor sloping downwards towards the right). This doesn't seem to match with the real life photo from the beginning of the video. Can someone explain why this is happened, or if it is correct and how accurate this tool would be for used like this in real life? Thanks

Hi Kris. That's cool that you are checking our how to videos very carefully and you are right this looks not perfectly in the CAD. I suppose that the Actor has not taken to correct point in this corner. The accuracy is 10 mm at 10 meter. You you need to measure every point accuracte and than this works very well.

the 3d drawing looks uneven and out of square. It is a very expensive equipment for wrong measurements, so it won't work for me? I need precision to make the stair railings.

@@MrBetovolador yes mate generally the structure will have a slight fall for water run off... pretty standard procedure. by eye its very hard to see the fall but in 3d it makes it easier to identify.

I have a 6 story building to wrap in glass can this be used to capture steel and concrete floor locations?
@LeicaGeosystemsCH2 жыл бұрын
Yes, this can be used, but be aware of the limitation of one dxf file of 30 points.

Can this function be used for 2D application to measure for countertops? (Scribing to the wall and getting the correct angle)
@LeicaGeosystemsCH2 жыл бұрын
Yes, besides the 3D dxf data, we create also a projected 2D footprint dxf, which can be downloaded from the S910.
@jimwilson82648 жыл бұрын
Beware: If you bump or jar the unit, it stops capturing and ALL data for that run is lost. Good safety feature, but there is NO warning whatsoever that all of your data for that run is missing, until you go to download the dxf file...Very frustrating.

Hallo I am working with X4 and Disto transfer plugin in Bricscad. Points are drawn but connecting lines are not drawn. Is there a setting I am missing? Connecting lines would help very much to understand the drawing instead of not linked multiple points. Thank you.
@LeicaGeosystemsCH3 жыл бұрын
With Disto Transfer we send the 3D point coordinates to BricsCAD. If you want to draw lines between the points, this should be set by BricsCAD.

@@LeicaGeosystemsCH You gave me a good idea: I start a line before taking the first shot and all points are then automatically linked shot by shot. Thank you.

Would Disto X3 or X4 (together with dst360 adapter) accomplish this? generate 3D points ( points with X, Y, Z axis) and being able to export them to autocad
@jamesbyrne20604 жыл бұрын
No, I have an X4 and it won't do that. It is really 2D and doesn't record the Z axis.
@LeicaGeosystemsCH4 жыл бұрын
It is not possible to create the DXF plans on the DISTO X3 or X4 itself but you can do so by using DISTO™ transfer software together with AutoCAD right away (transfer the points as you measure them on site) or using the DISTO™ Plan App with an iOS or Android device and export data afterwards. Hope this answers your question.

@@LeicaGeosystemsCH OK, you mean it's possible to measure a 3D volume (like a room with floor and ceiling) and get the information in a 3D software (sketchup, C4D or Autocad) ?

Can someone tell me if it is possible to move the tripod to different locations in one measurement?
@lukecool61735 жыл бұрын
i dont think so..

move tripod to new location, capture 3 points from previous measurement session, later combine dxf's with common 3 points
@1carlos834 жыл бұрын
Jurijs Ivanovs but aren’t you limited by 30 points?
