I like the agreement you have. We have it so that the only forcing bid is bidding the opponent's suit after partner overcalls.

I'll just clarify that. My partner and I play a weak jump shift. In this case if I bid 3S directly he would know that I hold less than 6hcp, but have a 6-card spade suit - it allows him to position the hand without guessing (with his hand and KQJ he would probably have bid 4S). This is a good time, non-vul and he's promising 10+ points with Ds.

I don’t see why you took the ace of clubs first then played a spade. If west lead from a singleton club and east wins the spade ace and returns a club , you are down. Just win the king of clubs and finesse the Queen of diamonds. Then discard the club loser on the ace of diamonds.

I am not an experienced player but seemed a blatantly obvious play. It is the only way, just get it done.
