Gary, you had me anyway, but this painting has hooked completely. You have handled it and explained it all so well. It will urge me on to try better. Also your memories of the first time you saw the ocean brought back very similar memories to us in Australia. Thanks for your great help. Doug & Di.

This perspective painting has attractive high horizon line. It use light and dark exaggerated the aspect of early morning light.Rearranged rock work used warm hue and cool colour at background to leave the boats recede. The seagulls as focal point give the atmosphere a live looking. Also that is helpful to get your thought of the design from pdf. Thank you for your sharing.

Thanks Gary, a lovely simplification of the scene, with the strong tonal contrasts which lead the eye. Also, I enjoyed your reminiscing of your childhood experience.

Great painting and video Gary. I too love to paint the Big water. I live not to far from Lake Michigan and spent some time this summer painting there. Thanks for sharing your watercolor wisdom.

I love your style so much! It keeps inspiring me to aim higher and keep practicing . I'm happy to see that you returned in Italy . Maybe sometime you will come to Parma ... it's a small city , but it was called "the little Paris" because it has been the residence of Maria Teresa of Austria , the 1st wife of Napoleon , which made my city a petit Paris . Anyhow , tnx for sharing another beautiful piece .

Dude, you went crazy in the 21:24 minute. You presented me the same drawing with some modifications that were not before the cut and it would have been perfect to see how you made them.
