The “oil” on the super hoses was possibly just nylog. When the nylog heats up it gets thinned out and oily. Only issue when someone goops a bunch of it on stuff.

Nylog is oil, just another formula to make it thicker and for the refrigerant you are using.

You are missing the rubber cap that goes on the tip of the H-10. That helps draw in the refrigerant. They make a tune up kit you can get at the supply house. You get filter's some of them red balls , rubber caps for the front and a test bottle. I want to say when I bought it, it was like 65 buck's. I have not replaced the heater yet. However I think it's every 5 year's. That 65 buck's was two years ago.

Holy moly I had those exact same parts drawers. I bought them from Curtis Industries and put them in a 90 Ford E150. I donated that non running beast about 8 years ago with the bins. I had to take aluminum bars, slot them and screw them into the frame so the drawers stopped opening when I was driving. You had to move the bar to open which also was a PITA. I beat the crap out of them and got a solid 10 hard years out of them before I retired that van.

Because it sounds like it's the hot pull down from like 170f that causes issues, will a bigger chiller actually solve that? I feel like you'll cop the high head pressure regardless. I'm no glycol tech however I'd imagine a glycol to air heat exchanger before the chiller would make a world of difference. 3 way valve tied to a thermostat. If the return glycol temp from tank is over ambient temp, 3 way valve runs the glycol through the "precooler", dumps that 170f heat to the air directly. Then it flows to the chiller to drop the temp of the glycol from a bit over ambient rather than 170f. Lower temp, lower head. Once return temp is lower than your ambient (whatever you set your thermostat to), 3 way valve changes over and bypasses the "precooler". Would help strip out the heat more efficiently, as well as speed up the pull down. Saves the customer money in replacing the chillers and keeps their power bills lower as the chiller doesn't have to move all the heat, precooler does some. Could probably find a glycol/chilled water fan coil unit that would do the job. Just need a valve and thermostat.

I have both leak detectors identical. Just bought the Inficon D tek and wasn’t impressed the first time I used it. Watch this video makes me think I made a $500 mistake. I just don’t care for a walk in the road with the H10 box especially in tight spots. The leak could just be Nylog at gauge connection.

Hey Norcal this is off topic of this vid but you always respond to my questions. How do you unclog a pilot tube for a gas valve. I checked my water column pressure on the gas valve and I took off the pilot tube and blew in it and its restricted. I grabed a hose off my gauges and tried using nitrogen but its still not working

Pilots have orifices in them... they are supposed to be restricted. Without an orifice the pilot flame would be huge.
