I’ve had mine a few years and they are by far the best on the market today. If you’re looking for a lift don’t hesitate to buy this. You will not be disappointed.

Tony, I want to personally thank you for your knowledge and expertise on these lifts. I recently just received and installed my double bay four post advantage lift last week. While doing endless research on different lift styles, I really honed in on the advantage lift, and a large part of it is due to these videos on youtube. More specifically, the in-depth analysis of the safety features, and design cues that go into the mynute detailed portions of the lifts. I can honestly say that these videos helped sell my left and components. I always appreciate people that are dedicated to what they do, and I appreciate you. Thank you for all the great content and I love the lift.

We are super flattered by your comment, thanks so much for your feedback. We can't thank you enough for choosing Advantage over so many other options in the marketplace and glad you walked away with more knowledge. Like they say, "The more you know." Love to see the ride you have on your lift so connect with us on social and show us your set up.

I really appreciate the really good videos put out by Tony. I think I have now watched every youtube video on Advantage lifts, as well as all the other lifts out there! I just purchased a SS-11000-WD. The main reasons I went an Advantage lift were the stable & stronger design, solid lubable pulley bushings, larger cables, capacity, and the 220V motor. In fact, I think you should make the 220V motor available as an extra cost upgrade option on all your lifts. It is the only (minor) complaint I have ever heard on an Advantage or Backyard Buddy lift. I realize having a 120V motor makes the lift much portable/moveable, but for those that have a dedicated lift location it would be an excellent option. Oh I forgot one more reason I like Advantage better, mechanical lock release instead of air. Well done! Thank you!

Are you still happy with your SS-11000? I notice the tag on the electric motor shows 115/230. Looks like you can probably swap a couple internal wires and run it on 220V, which it would probably prefer? I'm waiting for a sale and will buy the 9000XLT. I keep almost buying a Bendpak...same one my buddy has and its great, but I'll hold out a little longer and see if the 9000XLT goes on sale.

@MikeM-ld1rw Love the 11,000; mine is hooked up to 220. Goes up very quickly.
@MikeM-ld1rw2 ай бұрын
@@artillerybuff2000 Oh right, the 11000 only comes with the 220 option, I think. I keep thinking about maybe getting the 11000 over the 9000XLT, its not much more money. I don't know if I want the 24" wide runways though. I didn't know if they may be more in the way when working under there. I'm probably over thinking. Glad your lift is working out well for you!

@MikeM-ld1rw the 11,000 fits everything I own, from a small Polaris Ranger, cars, 50hp compact tractor, all the way up to a F450 pickup. Plenty of room around the ramps, just make sure you get the excellent air over hydraulic bridge jack with it.

After researching many two posts lifts I have decided I'm going get the Advantage AL-12C, from the stout design, the customer service I've read about, the packaging and your YT installation videos and ultimately the price. This seems to be a great product, can't wait to get one once my garage is finished.

Thanks for this video. Considered a Wildfire but came upon some negative comments on the cable pulley bearings. I liked the explanation on the secondary lock and using bushings instead of bearings. I’m going to go with Advantage.

I have the American made version of this hoist, the Backyard Buddy version, I picked it up at the factory right before Advantage bought out Backyard Buddy, i purchased the center solid deck which takes two guys to remove and install the four sections, very heavily built , I store my 2003 F350 4x4 on it, handles it fine, my only complaint is the little tin covers that protect the pulleys didn’t line up correctly on assembly, the foam ramps leave a lot to be desired and could be improved to be like the Advantage offering, other than that I’m happy with it the hoist, Advantage is the Chinese version of the Backyard Buddy for those who don’t know, no idea but I’m guessing patents expired and like everything else today the Chinese copied it with cheaper labor and lessor quality steel, that’s why I went with the Backyard buddy, try to keep American workers employed, you get what you pay for, I’m a 25 year auto/diesel mechanic and part time welder and also have a Rotary 2 point hoist

I guess this is why the Backyard Buddy version is like 40% more. I don't like the welds on some of those Advantage version. I don't trust anything coming out of China; especially steel that I'm standing under.

Hi Tony, I watched you install Faye Hadley's DX-9000-HD, and then viewed your web site. You also sell Backyard Buddy lifts. Which is better? The Backyard Buddy lifts cost more but have a lower weight limit.

Tony doesn't read these, but I can help you out! I'd suggest you watch the video we made highlighting the differences between Backyard Buddy and Advantage Lifts. Hopefully that will help you decide which one suits your needs. If you still have questions after you watch, feel free to call our lift experts. Interesting , Thank You . A fine example saftety first design . As we all know any component can fail any time , so redundancy is good. Grease is good , remembering to grease better.

Howdy, I have a 2 year old Wildfire and within 40 uses a bearing crumbled. I had to change all 10 bearings and made a few videos about the problem and the Wildfire response and the fix. I hear you say you all use bushings.. so no bearings? I like the check valve on the hydros. About bearings or bushings... I don't know what's best but I feel good about my bearing upgrade and I do admire your attention to detail. Bobby
@advantage_lifts Жыл бұрын
Bushings you can self grease, that's the benefit because the bearings have failure issues because you have no access to grease them. That is why we use bearings instead of bearings and we recommend our customers to grease them every 3-6 months depending on use.

Whats the 1/2 cable rating is it pre Stretched or Non pre Stretched @Advantage Lifts
@advantage_lifts3 ай бұрын
The cables are not pre-stretched. There's no need to pre-stretch them because they're spun and meant to stretch during use. The 1/2 inch cables are rated for 22,000 lbs PER cable.

How good are your lifts if i use it under a canopy outside in Texas ? How does it hold up to moisture while being outside under a carport ? thanks
@advantage_lifts7 күн бұрын
Using a lift under a carport is fine. We recommend you keep the power unit out of the sun and rain for sure, by covering it up somehow. If the carport has side panels that would be preferable.

These sure do look identical to Wild Fire Lifts other then The runway color @Advantage Lifts

That's because Wildfire took the Advantage design and slapped their name on it when they started their company. Advantage and Backyard Buddy have ALI certified lifts and Wildfire has none. That tells you all you need to know about about the quality of the lifts and the dedication to safety of Advantage vs Wildfire.
