This is why I went with an Advantage SS-11000-WD lift. 24" wide runways, plus a faster lifting 240V motor. It was only $600 more than the 9000XLT, and I can fit everything from UTV's up to 1 ton crew cab dually trucks!

I just had my SS-11000-WD delivered today. I'm going to start unpacking it tomorrow. I'm going to put a 50amp plug on the pump so it will match my welder outlets. Have you had any issues with yours? Any tips or tricks you can recommend for the assembly?

@davidseckman8604 Nice, you're going to love it! You will need a folk lift or engine lift/crane and a second person to help. If you got the air powered bridge jack, do not use it without an inline dryer from the compressor and an automatic inline oiler, you will ruin it quick if you don't. Be sure to change the fluid in the lift motor reservoir after the first month and flush the tank. Be sure to adjust all four post locks so they hit simultaneously, and use a long level for side-to-side and front-to-back. 50 amp will work, but you only need 20. Have fun!

@artillerybuff2000 thanks for the fast reply!! Yep, I did get an air over hydraulic bridge jack. I really appreciate the tips and info. Especially about the air, those bridge jacks aren't cheap. Im using the 50 amp plug so I won't have to install different receptacles. Thanks again!

Definitely worth it. I pay an extra $1000 a year to store my 3rd car. Just having this lift for 7 years will pay for itself. So I’m definitely getting this.

Planning ahead so good video. I'm pretty sold on Advantage lifts as they are only hour and 40 from me .Going to pour 8" slab on the two-post lift side of my garage and probably 6" for the 4 post.

When I had my building foundation poured, the concrete company owner wanted to know what the heck I was trying to lift when I asked about a thicker pour than my plans called for. He used 5,000 psi concrete 5" thick. He said even only 3,500 psi concrete with a 12"x12" lift foot equaled 42,000 psi, times 4 feet equaled 168,000 lbs.! Way overkill for a four post lift. However, if I was going to use a two foot lift, no matter what the numbers say, I don't think I'd want less than 8" in the lift location, so good call. OR put another way, an 11,000 lift has four 12"x12" feet, which is 144 square inches per foot. That is 576 total square inches divided into 11,000 lbs. comes out to approximately 19 lbs. per square inch...

Nice lift and good explanation of why you chose your lift. I think you can move the lift with a car on it though. I think as long as you get all 4 posts off the ground and the posts are not angled. I'd love to have a 4 post lift along with my 1 post movable lift. Unfortunately my garage doesn't have a driveway that run straight into it. Mine comes off an alley which makes having 4 posts virtually impossible.

I believe you need a compressor for the Bendpak to lower the lift down. That's a major pita and extra expense. The mechanical lowering is far simpler and more foolproof. I.e. what if your compressor breaks or power goes out? You can't lower your car at that point...

Great info - I have a company coming out to give a consultation but to be honest, I dont think it'll work but we will see: 1. I live in a townhome, I believe my garage ceiling height is only 9 feet 2. I cannot extend the garage door higher due to having storage shelves above the garage door 3. Car height isn't the issue, I wouldn't think; Honda S2000 and Mazda Miata But... fingers crossed...

Help me with the height math. Car height for both cars Car platform is 4.5” high So when your garage door is a high lift and open how much when open does it sit down from the ceiling? 6” approx? Thank you very helpful video

It kinda depends how high your roof of the car is relative to the hood and how high or far back your door goes. With a high lift track half of the door will sit in a vertical position half the door will sit in a horizontal position. This is where it gets a little tricky because everyone’s garage is a little different.

Great video, I also purchased an advantage xlt9000. I wanted to see if your lift runways have a slight flex on the top diamond plate when loaded with a car. With a car loaded on mine, if I take a 2 foot straightedge and place it directly underneath the front tire patch, I get a 'seesaw' effect with the straight edge. All four tire patches cause this on my lift. Could you please check your ramps with a straightedge ( running the same direction as the ramps) underneath the tire patch to see if yours is the same as mine? I suspect it is, but wanting to know if they are all like this. Thank you

Can someone help me please? 1) Can you suggest any proven methods of installing such a lift in a garage that has a slope of at least 4-5 inches? 2) Also, would the lift shift if I don’t bolt it to the ground? (I would rather not anchor it as my concrete slab is only 4 inches thick.)

I like how this lift doesn't even come over to the halfway point in your garage. Is that a standard 16 foot or 18 foot door? My door is only 16 foot and I'm afraid of a lift coming over too far and not leaving enough room for my mini van.

Great video and cool rides, thanks for your detailed views, helped solidify my decision to buy a lift from Advantage, although my needs are for a wider lift for storing a full size 101” wide x 20ft. long car transport trailer, the Boat Buddy Trailer lift will fit my needs, but most of all the safety features, quality and simple mechanical locking mechanism (k.I.s.s.--keep it simple stupid)system works best…are the same as there car lifts. My question, I’m not seeing the weighted automatic wheel chocks on there website…any thoughts on how to acquire them ? Thanks again.

It seems these Advantage lifts are identical (as far as I can tell) to the Triumph lifts from National Auto Tools. The pictures look identical. Specs identical, etc. I'm curious if you considered those Triumph lifts and if so, why you ultimately chose the Advantage lift.

I would never have that lift in my home around my family unless it's bolted down. Don't know where you live,but they're things called earthquakes that can shake any vehicle off that lift. I think it's something you should look into,especially will all the natural disasters happening these days.. Earthquakes are not like hurricanes,you can never detect them,and even a slight warning tremor can be disastrous for you. Just a thought,but I'm planning to have lifts installed in my garages and would never have them unless they're 16 bolts holding themin place.

I think I'd rather have the whole lift move around with a car on it during an earthquake than have the lift bolted down and then have the car shake off the lift. Unless you strap the car to the lift, it is more likely to shake off if the lift is bolted down. If it is not bolted down then the car and the lift will move together.
