I'm sorry for the perfunctory replies to you all, I am writing this from my sick bed and am about to go back to sleep. Don't worry about me, I have everything I need and the next few days stories are all recorded and ready to post at midday GMT ... I do sound a bit hoarse though! I'll perk up for later days! HA HA HA!!!

He's my favourite character in children's fiction - by far! (I don't count Lyra Belaqua as a children's book) and he gets up to such mischief but always for the greater good! ha ha!

Now you've done it! Finding this changed the course of my entire day. Today should be the day I finished the quilt block due. Loved listening to you read so I gathered hand quilting to sit and listen to the series. This is fab.

No Kate not the one included in a multi vitamin, a separate dose of Zinc. Any time you start feeling you have a cold coming on you should start taking it for I believe the recommendations is 5 days and the bottle is just Zinc. You can still take it even when your already poorly it decreases how long your cold lasts. Hope you are able to get some so this doesn't last as long as the last time. xx Angela

oh good! I hope you don't feel that I stop and start too abruptly - I wanted each instalment to be less than ten minutes - about seven. but it does mean I have to stop in mid story - it will all make sense I'm sure - and I have created a playlist so you can find them easily! thank you xxxx

Hello Kate, now you have to spare your voice. Hopefully you will not get really sick. "Emil" still irritates me. If you got used to "Michel" for decades. Another enchanting children's book by Astrid Lindgren is "Pelle is moving out!" I also own some DVD's with her children's films, all of which were shot many years ago. The atmosphere in these films is not comparable to today's children's films. No child has to be frightened, or wince, because suddenly it gets awfully loud, or it is followed by terrifying scenes. Many of my colleagues find these films absolutely boring. I am glad that I own it. Because you can also look at it as an adult with pleasure. Get well soon and a big hug from Claudia

you and I think the same way - I love the innocence of older childrens books. I particularly like the Bullerby children where nothing much seems to happen, but when I read it to kids they feel completely safe and identified with the characters. not feeling too great today sadly xxxxx

You and me, we belong to a different generation. My favorite book, when I could read it myself, was "Holidays on Saltkrokan" by Astrid Lindgren. For me, it was absolutely exciting then, and I got along with the characters in the book. During rainy weather I spend whole days together with my brother reading in the woodshed. And the great thing was, our mother served us lunch in our kids house. It was a real, small, spacious cottage, with real windows, a real door, a table, and a bench in front of our big woodshed. My father built it for us children. And it belonged only to us children. That was our own little Bullerbü. Such memories will never be forgotten, even if you have long outgrown the "Bullerbü-age". Cook plenty of hot tea with lemon and honey and wrap yourself in your favorite blanket and let yourself be warmed by all your cats. Big hug Claudia
