THERES A RAIN STICK :O were playing this in band but we don't have full band practices until closer to the concert and percussion is all in 3rd while the rest of the band is split between 2nd and 4th.

im a Sophomore in High School and we played this for my 8th Grade Christmas concert and i had the flute solo in the beginning. Looking back on this song I can play it much better now.

True,my director gave us trombone ones it because he hadn’t printed out the proper copies,and both of us preferred it over the one we were supposed to have

I play an alto sax in our concert and marching band and we played this last year for our christmas concert. We had so much fun last year that we convinced our band director to let us play it again this year

@@mrmrmeta3698On the high notes like high E for example make sure you open the roof of your mouth to get a better sound. Soft palate plays a big part in high notes with good intonation.

2:41 the song just escalates from there - love it when us trumpets just give it our all and it sounds SO good, i look like an idiot when playing it and smiling because its so beautiful

I remember when we played this piece I was the first chair flautist as well as the only piccolo player in our band, so the director gave the second chair player the flute solo at the beginning. I was upset at the time but it was completely fair, and she did a wonderful job at our performance.

Playing this with my school band is so funn. Our band was devided in too classes at the start and i was the only flute in my class it was quite fun playing all the solos by mylsef😆😆

0:56 I swear almost every great rich layered song always has this tension resolve or the switch from major to diminished to minor in it. I love it Everytime, but I notice it so often say in Robert Sheldon's pieces. Bonus if it's trumpets doing the progression.

Freshman 2nd Flautist here, i’ve really excited for this piece, it’s very beautiful and greatly written. We’re playing this for our winter concert this year and i’m so excited.

1st clarinet freshman here. Love this nice and easy piece (at least for clarinets). Very beautiful and very good choice for a winter concert.

Im a trumpet freshman. i love the beginning flute solo... so alive. it speaks a lot, kind of like the flute has something to say but can't because it's trapped in a forbidden forest of no excape.

I loved this song!! I played the first clarinet part and it was really fun!! The only thing is that measure 94 was really challenging considering it was really different from what the rest of the band was playing but I did enjoy this piece a lot!!

I was so happy as a euphonium to play the same part as the french horn in the beginning, the G up top kept getting me, but I've got it down now, and overall, this song is so pretty. I'm a junior in high school ❤

Jarad Wrld i play 1st clarinet in this piece. its not the most important part in those measures, so it doesn’t have to be that loud. it’s only mento forte.

There's supposed to be that low brass. When talking about band, you want a 40% bass, 30% tenors, 20% altos, and 10% sopranos. Or 50% low 30% mid 10% high

Excuse me low brass is beautiful I have spent 3 years in band and 2 years of my life in low brass 1 year with baritone and now with tuba it is glorious I used to play trumpet and I have never missed it
