We have to acknowledge that Rory and Trail Mater are the ultimate rescue team when you don't have a snowplow, a bulldozer and/or a monster vehicle to do what they did on this rescue mission. Awesome job Rory and Mike!

What do you mean "doesn't have a monster vehicle"? Lol! Trail mater is pretty monster in my book. It ain't big but it's stout where it counts! What impresses me is that Rory knows how drive in all those various conditions. Too many people want to try to power through snow. Rory knows when to give it the power and when to hold back.

Nice job, Rory and Mike. I've driven in snow all of my life, and I'm here to tell you, that depth of snow and it being frozen, thawed, frozen, thawed, would have stopped cold 99.99% of all non-tracked vehicles. But not Trail Mater and Rory. Excellent driving and vehicle. Well done.

Rory is a problem solver and he solves problems with his head and tries not to destroy his equipment. Your channel is like the most extreme of the older MORR. I'm telling you I am not the best mechanic but I would like to do the recoveries and use the same problem solving skills that you do. I mean this as a compliment and think Trail Mater is great. Both the truck and the man are beasts. BTW I live in Montana and getting through deep snow is always hard on the transmission.

Snowcat, four tires with chains, winter wear & backup? NO! It's super "trail mater" into the high woods & snow drifts with perfect, calm, ease (& expertise) as his rig makes it up to X spot, picks up the bikes & then heads back down, with the drifts still pestering. That was one of the more adventurous, cliff hangers (snow drifts) rescue I've seen on the net, and it all works out, finally...but I wondered for a while. The "Irish" lucky charm tandems with the skilled driver & his machine & wheels apparently have "a nine lives" (or more) style also. Amazeeeing!

I'm surprised the bikes didn't turn around to get out. Trail riding in Montana in the 70's, we had to work ourselves out of the situations. They're luck you were willing to retrieve them. You make retrieval look easy! It's not but it gives a person a sense of accomplishment.

@@eloiseharbeson2483 My BSA 441 weighed +150kg. It's one thing to be broke down but not being willing to put the effort to get yourself out puts those who are willing to help at an unnecessary risk. Trail riding in the 70's required that you carry an ax, bucket, and shovel (Forest Service req.). A military folding shovel and a helmet or tank bag filled the requirement and a 50' rope and tool kits were normal. Just watching Trail Mater and the gear he has shows how important it is to travel off-road with the minimum self recovery equipment. I hope the 2 gentlemen will use this experience to ride more prepared.
